plaid shorts are back

They've been "back" for a couple of years now, but only teenagers think they look good. Teenagers also think unkempt long hair or a "fro" looks good.

yeh, they've been "back" for females for a couple of years too. i've just noticed a bigger increase in guys wearing them this year.

I went up to Cedar Point yesterday with some friends, and saw easy 20% of the people there had plaid something (usually shorts, but some shirts as well). I made a comment about how bad they look on guys, and usually don't look good on girls.

I don't get the plaid stuff at all.

My buddy's trying to come up with a pair of madras rugby shorts just to make a point. A hairy dude in rugby shorts is just... unsightly 🙂

i don't like the madras patchwork shorts though. look too much like an afghan my grandmother might quilt together.

I call them Douche bag shorts. Cause I only see guys with pink popped collars in them.


and yes I own a pair, but I do not pop my collar...or wear pink shirts.

that's not the "only" guys who wear them. 😛
and those guys are going to be douche bags no matter what they wear.
 
Yes they are back, mostly on the college and HS level though, I haven't seen any of my friends over the age of 23-24 wear them, my younger friends do though. I own two pair, but don't really wear them much.
 
I like this look as long as it is done right and on the right body type. The type of plaid I have been seeing is the "washed" or worn in look. To me, it is a nice break from jeans or khakis. with a simple tee and some flip flops 😉 it could look really good, but not as though you are trying too hard.
I also like the "madras" print for women as well!
 
I am still wearing jean cut off shorts with wife beater <with big stains> torn off t shirt 😀


Plaid shorts are ok but white socks with sandals are not.

Oh..the two polo shirts with pop up collars are not cool either.
