I am actually contemplating getting some. They're comfortable, they look nice (some of them) and they're fashionable enough. Right now, the shorts I wear are black and used to make me look like a hobbit or something.

But now they're better.

got a few pairs, mostly wear denim shorts, but bust those out 1-2 times a week.

We refer to them as golfing shorts down here.

I bought a pair from American Eagle about a month ago with a brown shirt. I had some compliments. It's the only plaid shorts I have. I didn't pick out the shorts though, my friend's wife did. I almost never pick out my own clothes because my sense of fashion is pretty bad so I let most of my female friends do it for me! :)

(not to say guys couldn't do it either)

I'd wear them but my wife thinks they look ridiculous. I don't care enough to worry about it.

Sounds like something a guy named Winthrop would wear while playing 9-holes with his friend Chadwick, read into that however you want.

I have one pair. They are Arizona "deck shorts." They are very soft and comfortable.

I mostly just wear them around the house....

Not my thing. I was actually giving a friend a hard time about them just recently. They'll be out of style by next summer...so why bother investing.

I've got several pairs. But I wear them with a decent tee and flipppp floppps, so no I don't look like a douche bag. :D

No and I'm not wearing my shorts pulled up just below my nipples along with sandals with velcro straps and white socks either.

lol... you need a fashion sense check. these shorts likely sit at the waist or lower.
you are thinking these are your grandpa's shorts, and they're not.

I don't have any. If my GF gets me a pair and wants me to wear em, then I'll wear em. Also, if she says they look good, I will believe her, even if she is mocking me.

Ok, let me just give you guys saying you would never wear those because only "douchebags" wear them something to think about:
Most women will give you a second look wearing well fitting plaid shorts that are not too short, not too long with a TEE (unpopped collar) and flip flops sans socks and not ratty jean shorts and an old button down with stains on it because you "don't care".

Sure, that is shallow as all get out, but face it... we as humans are shallow. And don't give me that " I would never give THAT kind of woman the time of day" crap either. It is nice to get looked at... in a good way.

They are just shorts. Don't knock them until you try them. It is something different than the norm.
