We are talking not 50 years, not 100 years, not even 250 years, but a whopping 1000 years.

To be honest, we would be a multiplantary systems by then. Some lands being under the water is really not that big deals in terms of mankind survival.

Which planet? To get anywhere possibly interesting, we'd need some kind of star trek faster than light travel. That's more than just a tricky engineering problem at this point.

Death Valley. With an average daytime temperature of 165F, it will be uninhabited.

I don't know why anyone would willingly live there even today. I can't imagine trying to get anything done in that kind of heat.
TBH, I find it difficult to believe that people can live in much of America right now with the heat index over 100, 110 and higher much of the summer... unless they are in air conditioned spaces. It's far cooler where I live most all the time but it's gotten warmer in recent years. I have a window air conditioner in my bedroom but have not turned it on in over a year. I make do with a couple 200mm computer fans mounted in the same window, I turn them on in the evening to draw in the cooler night air, and let them run all night in warmer weather. In the cooler part of the year I slap on cutouts I've made with velcro over those 2 fans to keep out the cooler air.

Spoiler: They don't. Most Americans in the south spend most of their time in the A/C. Those that don't live rather hard lives.

There won't be a lot from these days that will be "remembered." There may be records of it accessible. Earth will be a very very different place.

Well, here on a Saturday evening poking around I chanced to look up some people I know/knew. One became a famous mathematician, not surprised, he was a stellar student at Harvard at the time.

The other was my best friend when we were about 19 -21. I knew him from high school.

He's one of the major figures in modern astronomy. He argues that Star Trek type ultra speeds are not practical (says that interstellar flight at tremendous speed makes a vessel too vulnerable to devastating impact), but he proposes a conceivably practical means for mankind to move beyond earth. I'm 75% into this video (start from the beginning):
