Just did my second pizza on our plain old charcoal Weber grill in the past week. They both were awesome. No hot ass house and great pizza. When I first tried this all my friends said that it wouldn't work but it has worked great. Here are my tips:

1. 1 layer of coals spread evenly over the grill
2. Close the vents half way
3. ...
4. Profit(For my mouth)

One was a cheapo frozen pizza and one was a Papa Murphys take and bake. Cooks in about half of the time and has that grill taste.

Yep, that's why good pizza is made in a wood burning oven. Time to start making your own dough.

Really, a grill is just like an oven and you can use it as such.

Hmm, never thought of pizza on the grill. Costco here has some prepared pizzas (not frozen) that are pretty good. I'll have to try one out on the grill.

You should try deep dish in a cast iron skillet.

The best is dutch oven pizza with about 8 briquets under and about 12-14 briquets on the lid.

I've done this for over 8 years and you are right it is the best.... if you add wood chips for flavor it can get even better!

we tried it once, a bit difficult to get off the grill (our crust was soggy) but the taste was quite good.

If you have that problem you could always put down a pizza stone in the grill.

I personally think that cooking in a skillet is better for many things.
