Andy I looked at the pics.
here is my opinions.
The last four photo's aka from Statues to Weed Hall need work. The statues would have been better if you got a little more of the subject. The statues. Its a nice close up but I dont know what the rest of the stutue looks like. The textbook reflection is a smart idea but badly executed. You should have shot it in infinite focus rather focusing up front. The corners are off focus. Total horror is a standard photograph of people.. nothing creative there.. but still could have got rid of the ugly rails in the foreground. I dont konw what you were trying to show with weed hall sign.. a little more of the subject (the poster) would have been better.
Now for the good stuff.
Pine tree is a creative way of shooting it, however there is some glare from teh sun that is distorting the subject of the final image.
The flowers have come out excellent. The macro setting has been used very well. I only wish if you had centered the subject (the foreground flowers). It would have looked nicer and more acceptable.
The dinenr photograph is unique. I like the lighting effects and it expresses the meal very well. Its very well composed (the subject - heinz and the food). However the tabasco sauce bottle top should have been against a darker background.. its blending in too much into the table. Also the fern in the back of the heniz looks very weird that its sticking out. The picture coudl have worked if the fern wasnt sticking out like that and the tabasco was against the background of the darker drinking glass.
I dont know what you were trying to do with teh Quad picture. You seemed to have the right idea of showing the quad, however the subject studying against the background of an ugly dumpster. Something is out of place. Also the image does look very pixelated. I really dont know how I can suggest improving that photograph. You might want to zoom on to the subject keeping the background blurred.. I really cant help you with this..
However the 2 photos.. flowers and dinner came out really really really well. You should congratulate yourslf for those two.
