Canon S100 Elph 2.1 Megapixel
*Taken using non-auto settings at 1600x1200 Fine quality. 1600x1200 Superfine was avoided because I only have 8MB CF card :(
*Pics are reduced to 1024x768 at setting 8 compression using Photoshop 6, for easy online viewing.
*click on 1024x768 to see the pic in its full glory.. 320x280 is only a thumbnail

Don't know much about the Elph camera, but here is some constructive criticism for ya!

They all look good, but one thing I noticed on all is your color. Watch the shadows. Your color seems a bit muttled because of inconsistant lighting. Try adjusting your ISO settings or apeture. This would help, especially on the shot of dinner. The "film" speed was too slow for the shutter speed and apeture size. That is why it turned orange. (unless that was the look you were going for. Also, in the one of the girl on the grass; while your subject placement was good, try moving your subjects a little closer to the center of the shot. Off centering them does make your viewer look at the picture more, but if they are too out of center the picture becomes uninteresting.

Good job though. I should post some of my pics at that site. Maybe tonight.

<< The Elph really gets blurry in the corners, doesn't it? >>

around the corners? the cam is sweet.. no blurs..

if you're talking about the blurs in the background, that is because of macro mode, which was intentional.. it's a beautiful effect for close-ups

no blurs around the corners, caused by technical glitches

not to offend you in particular,

but photography isn't that hard.. all u need to know is basic concept of balance, contrast and sense of attention...and a $5000 digital camera

with that beautiful cam.. I'd take pix nite and day.. too bad i don't have $5000.00++

once again, beautiful pix

Anyway.. I gotta go to my sister's bday party. So, later.

(by the way... there's a whole lot more to photography than just point and click. If I were you, I'd get a National Geographic Field Guide to Photography. Excelent resource. Better than college manuals!)

Altho not digital, here's some of my best 35mm stuff i took a few years ago.

I also have a S100 Elph by Canon.. this camera rocks! I bought it mainly of the size (or lack, thereof), but it has great quality as well.. I am very pleased.
