I never said that Shaq was better than Kobe.
You were the one who argued that Kobe was overrated.
I simply proved he was not. Look at his numbers.
Don't try and change the argument when it's clear that you lost.
But you want to argue that? OK fine.
Let's go ahead and see what Bill Simmons, the exact same ESPN reporter you have been quoting, has to say about KObe and SHaq.
An Article for you to read
"Who wants to watch the two best players in the world share the spotlight on the same basketball team?"
So the exact same reporter you have been quoting proves MY point.
Shaq is great. Kobe is great.
I already admitted in this thread that Lakers sucked in the Finals series, and i already gave props to the Pistons. As a Laker fan, I can admit when the Lakers get spanked by the better team. But in no way is Kobe overrated.
Show us how Kobe is overrated? Go to any coach on the NBA, and ask if they want Kobe. I bet you almost all of them would pick him up in 1 split second (other than the trial bull crap).
Here's another thread for you to read about Kobe and Shaq.
How does it feel to be OWNED over and over?
Bwahahahha you owned me, you mean you owned in getting owned? LMAO, and you quote an ATOT thread as proof? lmao!!!! Did you even read the thread that you linked?
"If Kobe was a role player they might still be playing ball now", or the funny: "Lakers don't need another big time superstar like Shaq. They can concentrate on rebuilding the team around Kobe. What they really need, and what they were really lacking this year, is a solid outside shooter. Ray Allen is that player. Also, with Radmanovic, the Lakers get a good, servicable forward. They sign Brent Barry in the offseason and get another great outside shooter.
With the combination of Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, Brent Barry, Kareem Rush, a resigned Derek Fisher, and Luke Walton, the Lakers will be absolutely SCARY from the field."
bwahahahha good luck winning with a bunch of scrubs like that and noone to guard Tim Duncan!!!
or how about this one:
"Let me see... Ben Wallace outrebounds Shaq 2 to 1."
Um, Shaq averaged 10.8 rebounds and Wallace 13.6. Somebody hasn't graduated first grade math(maybe he meant that Shaq scored over 2.5X the points that Wallace did)!
The thread you quoted is complete trash, so much I decided it wasn't even worth my time to post (yes I saw it).
Your link to Bill Simmons is outdated, it's from April. Ask him who the best 2 players in basketball are at his moment, it will not include Chokey Bryant, he just said 2 days ago LA needs to trade him. Do you even read my posts? Are you really that stupid to think that Bill Simmons feels the same way as he does in April? Hell, everyone was on Kobe's jock earlier this year, the absurd MJ comparisons prove that. That's like how everyone and their mama was hailing Bill Buckner as great in 1986 before the World Series after his very good season in 1985. NOW, in the present (which you deny exists), Kobe has gone from treasure to TRASH. What coach on a winning team would trade for him? NOONE. Sure, sht teams like LAC, Denver, Orlando, or Boston may want him to try and get some of the ratings $$$ back from the past couple of years. No coach on a good team will take Kobe, I've said it before and I'll put money on it now.
Here's another article for you to chew on from ESPN.
Kobe IS OVERRATED. He rode Shaq's jockstrap to the Finals, in the Finals, and to 3 rings. Shaq could have had any good point guard and they would have won it all... Turn on ANY talk show today, like the Jim Rome or Tony Bruno show and maybe you will wake up from your drug induced Kobe dck rider phase (and yes, it's just a phase)... When you have the best center of your era, you are going to get easy, open looks. The fact that Kobe didn't get easy open looks this year and failed against a good team proves my point exactly. Shaq, since he wasn't doubled this series, was a monster. And even WHEN teams double teamed Shaq he put up killer numbers, but Kobe was also able to post big numbers b/c he was always fricking wide open. This time Kobe is doubled and folds like a chair.
You can't sit there and say that Shaq is not the greatest and most dominant center of our era... Kobe is NOT the best guard of Shaq's era (TMAC, AI in his prime, Baron Davis, Stephon Marbury, Gary Payton in his prime, Jason Kidd all can be argued to be better). When Kobe goes to a scrub team, he won't win a g.dam thing,
and just bring his teammates down like this year.
Thanks for playing, but it's game over for you.
