Why do you feel you owe Microsoft a favor? What have they ever done to you besides limit your desktop OS choices, charge you more and more per year for software updating, and force you to ask their permission to install their software after you pay for it? You are a dumb corporate tool - something MS would love to see all their customers be.

Perhaps if they were ripping off a company I genuinely like because it genuinely likes the customer, I would feel obligated to report the pirate. However, reporting him requires you to go out of your way for Microsoft when Microsoft has never gone out of their way for you.

Fvck Microsoft. I'll never get off my ass to help them unless they show some intent to help me first. But, every time I buy their software, I feel I'm being forcibly ripped off. And, every time I buy their software, I usually find the pirated copy to be easier to install (no calling) and easier to work with (can easily make copies).

Ufortunatly if you turn him in 3 other people will take his place in selling software. Our how system is bassed on you breaking the lay. Take the war on drugs for instance. If no one did drugs there wouldn't be a war on drugs which means the people that are hoping thoes few people will be out of a job.

The officials always complain that there is a war on something but the truth be told if there were not people selling stuff like that, doing drugs, speeding, not wearing their seat belts, not having insurance, companies not running with a license, and so on and so on our ways of life would fall. They expect people to break the law and do what they are not supposed to to keep the ball running. If the wanted to I'm sure they have a huge list somewhere on EVERYONE and what they have done. they just break it up to who can they nab thats going to be more profitable. Sure they pick on the little guy at times but jsut to set a point and have others take his place to keep the ball running.

So sure you can rat him out becuase your friend cut you off from mooching free software off him or what ever you would want to rat out a "friend" for, but you narking on him isnt going to make the problem go away. Someone will most definatly take his place and the government needs that to keep going on and on like that. It all comes down to people making money and the government making their money off taxes and the people breaking the law.

And btw you did open the can of worms on yourself by opening this thread so you cant take to heart what all people have to say. Its called welcome to the USA where everyone has an opinion just like you do.
