So my friend tells me he just got finished downloading the F.E.A.R game, and that it took him 4 days to finish it. Funny thing is, electricity around here is something like 5c an hour to run a computer, so lets see, 5cent/hour x 96 is 48$, Best Buy had the game on sale for 40$ this week, what a fool.

Your retarted. Comes to 4.80 dollars.

Where do you even start with this post...

watch out. hes going to come back and say you suck at grammar (you're) .

You suck at grammar too since you failed to notice that the proper spelling is "retarded", not retarted

and if i had to pay $48 for my computer for 4 days it better cook food, clean up, power the house, and give blow jobs.

i'd gladly pay to have that computer.. :p 48 bucks for food cleaning power and services every 4 days sounds superb.

Sure, if you don't want to play multiplayer. Of course, what's the point of that. OTOH, single player makes a good preview of whether multiplayer is worth it... assuming there isn't a demo download available of course.

As hard as it is to believe, there actually are "honest thieves" out there who will go out and purchase a silver disk of music or games they have downloaded, in order to support the developers/artists and the supply chain. (i.e. local independent retailer). It's really just forcing the old shareware model on all purchases, and while illegal, is not terribly unethical when viewed in depth.

Well, probably few and far between, actually.

You call him retarded, yet you can't figure out the correct usage between "your" and "you're".

Your math is teh suck.

Don't blame it on accidental decimal place error. Your answer flat out makes no sense, and seeing as how this thread was all about how it's cheaper to buy the game, it wan't an accidental decimal typed in the wrong spot.

The worst part is... I would understand making the decimal mistake. (not really, but I'm being nice). BUT, to not realize it the whole time before you got on your computer, typed the whole message, then hit post...c'mon...

Dude...face it..you're an asshat.

I made a mistake, admitted it and gave everyone a laugh, yet that makes me an asshat, I'd argue that you're the asshat for posting a mistake that 10+ people already picked up on and the OP apologized for.

Yea, so it costs 4.80 to keep the computer running. However while the computer was running, I would be using it periodically (the one at home about 5 hours a day) and it would be downloading other things at the same time, such as TV shows. Even if i wasn't currently downloading something, I wouldn't bother to turn it off.

You need to brush on your L33T math skill a little bit. It's $4.80, not $48.00

Easy mistake to make, yes. But if you're going to use that calculation to grandstand, you'd better make sure that math is correct.

But  for the OP, as I got a chuckle out of this.

Believe it or not bro, but some of us DO buy all the games they like. I have no problem paying for a quality game to support devs that create quality products.

Best regards...

let me tell you what else doesnt make sense:

when game companies release games so buggy that you have to wait until a bug fix aka "update" is released so you can play without blue screening or the computer locking up on you.

when game/music companies release crap and you can't return it...

if you buy a music cd and only a fraction of the songs on there are any good why shouldnt you be able to return it, after all the music companies monetarily influence radio stations to play only selected songs and artisits.
