Hummer vs School Bus

Just a little relativity. ;)

BAN SCHOOLBUSES!

Let's just ban stupid people and drunks from driving.

Drunks are already banned from driving. Occasionally, one slips out, because it's scarily more socially acceptable to do so than one would think.

Stupid people, well, see "drunks" and 50% of the people I pass on the way to class every night.

Thankfully I mitigate my exposure because I walk to work. And we have very wide sidewalks.

Hm, I think if a Hummer or whatever oversized steel giant were to go head-on with the corvette, it would probably just run over it. As long as the vette has enough vertical strength, I think it would slip right under rather than being crushed like a soda can.

Sounds like a job for the Top Gear stunt driver.

Wasn't Suzuki last in the JD power reliability too?

Wouldn't surprise me in the least. Like I said, they make great motorcycles but their cars are total shit. I can't believe anyone would buy one.

My folks had two Vitaras between the late 80s and the late 90s that were both excellent (the small one, and then the four door). Climate and conditions were hardly a picnic, they were driven on the gravel every day (No bitumen roads), humidity through the roof all year round, and salty air (South Pacific).

Very good off-road, and they certainly didn't seem particularly unreliable.

I know a few people who own Sierras and they really will go anywhere.

Not sure why you'd buy one of their non 4WDs however, so I am with you there...

Oh, I think it's far more than occasionally.

Another death in so many weeks in my neck of the woods by someone driving a compact vehicle and crossing the center line, crashing into a SUV. Guess who lived and who died?

http://www.boston.com/yourtown...ctor_died_was_sce.html

Jen, the longtime medical director of a major physicians' group at Brigham and Women's Hospital, died after her 2007 Toyota Prius apparently crossed the center line just before 6 p.m., as she was driving to her Needham home after work, according to police.

Jen's car collided with a Toyota Sequoia; the three people in that vehicle were not seriously injured.

Well then, lets just hope you're driving that station Wagon so my post is justified in the future! The 8 year olds are only worth 10 points or so, but douchebags like you are worth 100 so I'll accept a little collateral damage to get the gold.

That's a real douchebaggy thing to say.

Pot meet kettle.

Savage but how would other small, mid, large size saloons cope in a crash like that?

Hmmmmmm...my S2000 wouldn't fair much better imo, but in the uk not m any people have hummers, but a lot have SUV's.
