Not getting the logic :), but I'm glad you are getting what you want. I wouldn't bother with an AWD BMW anyway...a lot of the magic of the BMW's is the RWD nature mixed with awesome balance.

I hear the X drive is pretty epic too, but my original desire was the 135i...but no one was selling white and black combo, this one was...and had some decent set of rims on it.

I'll put factory shocks in it, and destroy those friggin plastic things on the headlights.

AFAIK, you can actually shift the headlights a little bit, correct me if I an wrong though. I don't actually own it yet. But like my A4, I think there is 1/4-1/2" of play to move the headlights in position.

Yeah you can adjust the headlights and fit of all the panels, but BMW (in my experience) has VERY tight body panel fit, and is lined up VERY well from the factory. Generally if things aren't lined up right it means there was bodywork done. It looks to me like the hood is shifted towards the passenger side fender, based on that pic you just posted.

Generally this stuff means it was in some sort of front collision. It doesn't mean that it's a dealbreaker or anything, but it's something I would want to be aware of before purchasing it. My concern would be that repairs were done perfectly.

...I'm not trying to shit on your car either, it's a great looking vehicle, I'm just trying to look out for ya :)

I post, because I want people to throw in their opinions!

There was no accident on the carfax, so it seems odd that it would be skipped. I am talking to the guy who traded it in, he was the original owner, said no accidents either.

I don't get the 3 series coupe either. The front seat in the 1 and 3 are identical, to me you either get the 1 series coupe or 4 door 3.

That being said, the looks of the 1 series is one of those "you have to own one to understand" sorta things. But like most bmw styling, it looks goofy now but will definitely stand the test of time.

It's far more proportional. The 1 series looks like someone took a 3 coupe and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes. Sort of like E36-ti, but more bubbly. The car is far too tall for its length and headlights are about 50% too big. Proportionally it reminds of me the x90

People said the same things about the 318ti compact coupe. I never liked the look of them nor the four door models.

IMHO if one wanted a four door you go for the 5 series if you want performance and the 7 if you want ultimate luxury.

Providing they are within one's budget.

I find the one series too weird, it's like someone took a 3 series and smashed it with their fist on both ends.

Either way, it's a nice ass ride and I'm certainly jealous ;)
