That was a typo, I should have said I have never owned a sig 229 before. Just an honest typo.

I still have both of the 220's, I got them both used from CDNN a couple of years ago. Call shens if you want, I dont give a shit. I am gonna edit the original post to fix the typo.

10mm has become my favorite round. I carry a compact GLOCK 29 in 10mm. If I'm out in the woods, I fill it with heavy cast lead full-house loads. Around home and town, normal JHPs. With all of the bear activity in the area lately, I wanted something a little more 'magnum'.

EDIT -- just finished reading the thread. You're one of my favorite guys here on the forum. Please set us straight, fess up or something, I'm kind-of disappointed...

I had never owned a sig before, and that was a price that I could not turn down, so I decided to go for it.

I have heard of guys using the Glock 20 or other 10mm in alaska for bear defense. When loaded properly, It can be right up there with the .357 magnum - with a 15rd magazine capacity.

So is the OP hiding in shame?

Here I was enjoying a nice thread about sig's (which I'd love to get one for myself) and get the bonus of major ownage!

Or not...

To hell with them, as I said, they can call shens all they want.

I used to own a Sig Mosquito as well, since we are on the subject of sig ownership. I sold that thing to get a Walther P22 though, so I could have a factory threaded barrel.

Go prove these guys wrong. We need to see a pair of 220s and your 229 together. Write on a piece of paper, "Not owned." and put it in the picture.

When I get home from work, maybe I will. I don't have to do a damn thing though, regardless of that those guys think.

When you get a 10mm, let me know how you like it. I hear they handle the Double Tap full house loads really surprisingly well. I've not shot any out of mine yet (don't have any Double Tap myself), but plan on getting some of their 'beartooth' rounds for woods use.

Yeah, I have heard that the double tap stuff is pretty powerful. When I get the 10mm, I am probably gonna order a box or two from midwayusa. I will eventually get dies for the 10mm and play with handloads as well. I bet I can get them to load pretty hot in that glock, from what I hear it can take hot loads better than the kimber 10mm's I was considering before.

I got to mess with the Glock 20 when I was getting the p229, and though the grip is a little awkward for me, it still was not bad, for a full size glock. The only glock that I have found that I like the grip of so far is the Glock 19. I traded in a Glock 30 I used to have for the 19 mostly because the compact 30 felt too small in my hands. The ammo savings between .45 and 9mm was another reason too.

Sweetness, I just picked up a sig P220 today. My P226 in 40s&w is my favorite so far, but we'll see. I'll probably go shooting next week and try her out.

I want to hear on that as well. I want to see how one is faring after 1000 rounds or more. I know, it's a carry piece, but I want one that is COMPLETELY reliable, even when abused.

I love sigs.
They have a very good, heavy, quality feel to them.

I wish I had a spare $750 to get one :)

In all fairness it doesn't take much to get these twerps excited.

That small collection is hardly worth faking, if he had a ton of 'stock' photos of illegal guns then that'd be different....pretty hard to fake it with his camo as a background.

I like the sig's...they have a good firing feel compared to other guns. I do like the Glock .40.

The 1911 is tried and true but a big gun and TONS of aftermarket support and mods.

A Sig (p232?, the .380 one) is a great concealed carry and very very easy to shoot rapidly.

QFT x 2. I find those that talk about owning guns in fact own them...usually too many and often times are too gun poor to shoot :)
