What a coincidence... because just like Affleck, Reynolds will never be in a movie again after an awful superhero flick that nobody wants to see

Except Afleck was in another movie, that was pretty good. And who would possibly turn Ryan down from a role with abs like that?

🙁

Green Lantern was my favorite hero when I was a kid. Granted, it was back in the early '70's...
I was a Marvel fan/reader growing up. Aside from Superman of course; what kid didn't like superdude bitd?

Just watched that trailer on "Entertainment Tonight", can't wait to watch it June 2011. :\

Looks like they CGIed his body onto his head...

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

I think someone needs to re-read the Green Lantern comics. Unless this is another F'ing time travel thing.

Parallax was devised as the new supervillain identity for former Green Lantern protagonist Hal Jordan.

At least Green Lanterns powers are cool looking, but he's almost as bad as superman in the ridiculous to many powers department. I suppose its very easy to write those characters when you can just create new powers whenever you need to get him out of an "impossible" situation.

All I want is a good Superman movie. A non-corny, well done, well told, well directed Superman movie. Just one. SAVE ME CHRISTOPHER NOLAN!!!!!

Looks like they CGIed his body onto his head...

Well, that's because that is exactly what they did. Or more like they CGI'd the outfit over his body.

Not thrilled about Reynolds as Hal Jordan but like that they are making a comic book movie that looks like a comic book and taking it to outerspace with all the aliens, etc. Versus the real world Batman and a Superman stuck on Earth with no real villains to fight other than Lex Luthor.
