(For the lazy)

Lol Green Lantern. I'd rather see a Plastic Man movie; who the hell cares about Green Lantern?

KT

This is getting lame. Making every f'n comic book character into a movie. I'm glad I don't spend money to watch all of them in theaters.

I actually read up on the green Lantern's origins and found it interesting. I have not done that with Plastic Man but may now.

It has potential to be a good movie if done right. Green Lantern: First Flight was done well.

this was a no brainer, what with the banner work that reynolds did convincing a whole generation that Deadpool was a metrosexual...

as for him playing Green lantern it could be great. the comic was pretty good the last few years.

What are the Green Lanterns super powers?

300px-Green_Lantern_Power_Ring.jpg

The ring can be used to fire blasts of Oan energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user.

The ring can create various forcefields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him.

The ring can form constructs of Oan energy. The primary function of the Power Ring is to provide a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's strength of willpower. A Green Lantern can create any particular items or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the willpower necessary to will it into existence.

The Power Ring allows the wearer to pass through certain solid objects, such as walls.

A ring wielder can render him/her/itself invisible by willing the ring to bend light waves around his/her/its form, as well as that of the power ring

The ring can absorb and store most other energies.

By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds. In atmosphere, a Green Lantern has been known to fly as fast as Mach 10 in atmosphere by creating an aerodynamic envelope around his body.

The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport

This ring has a limited ability to heal physical injuries

The Green Lantern's uniform is not made out of fabric. It is created by the Power Ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it.

😀😱

Well, they don't really have much of an option if they want their characters to survive. The number of people buying comic books gets lower and lower every year. They have a lot of great stories and characters that can easily be transitioned to movies -- where they can actually afford to stay in business. The only question I ask is "will they effectively transfer this story from a written form?"

Granted, I think they are probably pulling in more people by transitioning their work to a digital format, but there definitely are not nearly as many comic book readers as there used to be

I would like to see a JLA movie. You will have Batman, Superman and Green lantern after this.

All that would be needed are cameo appearances to bring them exposure from:

The Flash (could make his own movie but lacks a superpowered bad guy off the top of my head)
Hawkman / Hawkgirl
Martian Manhunter
Wonder Woman (has an animated movie that got decent reviews)

I can't wait for this.

haha, yeah.

I'd rather see Ant Man.

he is the size of an ant...with the strength of... A MAN! WAAAAAAA!

or how about Kickpuncher?

A cyborg whose punches have the power of kicks! :awe:

some prefer darkest over blackest due to a PR thing I guess

well.. they can prefer "darkest" over blackest... but the oath has blackest for a reason... it refers to the Fall of the Green Lantern Corp event.. which was played out in Blackest night.
