Just to give you an idea, the mortar joints (space between rows of brick) are typically about ~3/8 to 1/2-inches wide. Using those dimensions, I'd estimate that spider to be approaching 2-inches in length.

I'd have to go back in time for that, plus i'm not getting that close to it! It's gone now - but that is a normal brick, for scale.

Blueweasel is right!

Took the pic two nights ago. Those are normal sized bricks. Damn it's big. What is it?

Did you KILL it?
I was thinking of capturing it, but I didn't. I didn't kill it! It just ran away when I woke up the next morning. I took a few other pics, but this is the best one.

I've already butchered that pig and made sausage out of him. There is a poster named Syringer cowering nearby though

Kill it then when you get gooey spider legs from when you loot the body, you can make Gooey Spider Cake which heals for 552 health and buffs your stamina and spirit!

has anyone identified this giant spider? I'd be more inclined to want it instead of black widows in my house :(

It's the smaller, more delicate spiders like red backs and black widows that kill.

We have similar spiders here, big black & hairy. nothing beats the banana spiders that used to be on the farm when I was younger. They were about 3-4 inches with their legs spread out with a big fat belly the size of a large grape. Big enough to play target practice with a pellet gun from 30-40 feet. :) splat

It's probably eating a small bird as we speak.
