So the past couple of weeks, my digital camera (Casio Exilim EX-S3) has been taking half fuzzy pictures, half normal pictures.

Pictures typically come out looking like this

then if you notice some other pictures like this, you'll notice that certain things are very much in focus (seemingly the closer objects).

Why is this occurring?

uh, I don't really see a dramatic decrease in focus between the two they both look like crap, neither one favourable over the other.

The EX-S3 has almost zero shutter lag time thanks to the fixed-focus lens.

I'll go along with aircooled on this one. Clean the lens. It's the only solution that makes sense, given this picture. Use a Q-tip with a lens cleaning solution.

Agreed. Look at the areas in focus, they are along the right side of the picture, both near and far, yet the middle seems to be fuzzy only on the left part of the picture.. Definitely gonna be a dirty lens as the culprit.

Looks a little bit like fog. Did you take the camera in from the cold outside just before taking those pictures? Or was the camera exposed to water somehow? Just a thought.

*rubs eyes and makes mental note to call in for an eye appointment*

Thought it was asking for pornography gurus.....

*goes back to looking for porn0 threads*
