As far as digital goes, yes, having a cam that can handle extremely low light. I didn't do any cleanup on my night pictures (or any of the pictures in my galleries) other than cropping. Canon makes a great low light cam. You also need some sort of light source...and a low shutter speed. Most of my night pictures range from 1 second to the highest setting my G3 has which is 15 seconds.Originally posted by: CorporateRecreation

A lens that can handle extremely low light and a decent light source is a good start, high speed film as well.
