Olympus C-5060

Nice...you happy with it?

I'd say yes. I want to take relatively good photos and was tempted to purchase the C-8080 which was an 8mp monster however I couldn't justify 8 megapixels. My old 2mp camera was good enough for resolution however if you kept the shutter open for over 2 seconds, even on the lowest ISO, it would have too much noise. Upon reading the reviews between the 5060 and the 8080, they judge the 8080 to be better in almost every regard but not dramatically better. After testing it, I didn't pick much difference and the smaller pictures and native resolution of the 5060 (5mp) I preferred. And the cheaper cost but that wasn't the drawcard.

The main reason I stayed with Olympus was because I had a C-700 before it and I knew how to use it and I hate relearning a new camera 🙂

I hear that. I'll be looking at a D-SLR in about 12 months or so. For now, i'm very happy with my G3 and will probably stick with Canon. Knowing how to use the features is very important, and i know what you mean about relearning everything. 🙂

Nice. How does one get a gig like that?

The artist is one of my good friends and he wanted a cool CD cover but didn't have the money so I told him if he bought the film I'd shoot them for fun for him. That was the result. I really love my camera

cool. film? all done with black and white film, huh?

Yeah, I love black and white film. The back one was taken with a digital camera and it's him in 4 different positions in the same shot.

Wow, great thread here guys! How do you take photos at night that turn out?

A lens that can handle extremely low light and a decent light source is a good start, high speed film as well.
