I have a friend who lives in BC, but is in town for a few days. He told me to call him on his cell, but since he's from outta town, he'll get some long distance charges.

Anyway, when I call his cell 1-604-[xxx-xxxx], all I get is a busy signal.

Any reason why this is? (btw, its been like this for a few days now, so its not cause he's on the phone)

i thought they only charged you long distance on your cell if you were the one making the calls.

He does have service because he has called me from his cell, while he's been in town.

I'm not sure about this, but he thinks if I call him, he gets the charge.

If you're roaming you will get charged long distance. They like to call this the "call delivery charge."
