Kev-in

Since Kevin is always taken, I just stick three zeros at the end to make it unique.

What burns my balls though is that people who usually register "Kevin" never use it.

me: ??? (you'll sound like a retard if you try to pronounce it)

etymology: Latvian mythology: demons who disguise themselves as animals to lead travelers off the trail in the woods. The theory is that if the body is lost, then the soul becomes lost too.

5150 is the California penal code for criminally insane
Got the "pscyho" nickname after a night of a little too much soju while stationed in Korea. Modified the spelling to a Suicidal Tendencies way, and added the 5150.

I had wanted "Azrael" for my B.net mage, but that nick was already taken, so I altered the spelling a bit. The name stuck (I don't think I could have Azrael here anyway, I think it's taken).

if it were up to me, i'd let you have it.

-=bmacd=-
Lol, thanks. :) Actually I checked. Azrael registered one month after me. I could've had it, doh. There's also an azraelle registered.

Big-John-K-C

As I was growing up, I didn't have very creative friends, and the only nickname I have ever gotten is Big John - you figure out why. I seem to recall the BigJohn was taken as an AT nickname when I joined, so I appended the KC to it since I had just moved there and was proud of that very fact.

Back forever (bbs days) my first choice of handle was DMAN. As in "He's D(ah) Man." And some folks would call me by my surname which begins with a "D" and add man to it. So, it sort of stuck. I originally had AOL's first "dman", then cancelled service after the novelty wore off. That was eons ago.

Of course, it's NOT original, so, the other DMan's out there often beat me to registering it. And it was a PITA to find one w/ a # after it that I really liked that wasn't already used. And I don't care to have 50 billion nicks for all the different forums and emails and what nots. So, I decided to use 6666 because it's not the # of the devil (666) but is easy to remember (for me and others) and I've yet to register somewhere that it's already in use, unlike DMAN007 or 001, or 02 or 2002.

The bonus is I get to mess with folks who think it's "DEMON 6666" and then realize (hopefully) that's not what I'm about and wonder why the f*** I picked that handle.

:p

<-- Cool thread, was surprised by a few of y'alls explanations.

Brutus= pronounced Bruwtus = et tu Brutus= My Dog
Kend= Kend=The first part of my last name (Kendall)

When I first signed up for the internet (AOL  ) I wanted my Nick to be Brutuskendall, but it was too long by three letters (all) so it became Brutuskend. And has stayed thay way all these many years.

Deeko. Deeko is a derivative of the nickname Dinky Davis, which I held in elementary school, when I was a good foot or so shorter than everyone else. In jr high, I shot up and wasn't all that short anymore, so Dinky was kinda stupid, so in some way or another morphed into Deeko. Everyone but my girlfriend calls me that.
