Got it when talking to a friend a few years back on MSN Messenger about what to have as my nick when playing Unreal online.

I said something along the lines of "Oh I'm confused" and then he said that Confused was a great name, and it's stuck since!

Up until earlier this year i was ConfusedBW, the BW bit was due to a website that myself and a couple of friends were making called Broken Windows (and hence BW) which was going to be a hardware site, but that fell by the wayside.

sigh - BEER - ee - ah

A play on Siberia (where I've never been before but that's what a lot of people imagine when they hear "Russia") and cyber- which loosely means "computer-related".

Stal-lion. A stud, the guy who gets all the ladies. :) As a joke on a star wars gaming site I hang out at a group of us would call each other stallion/stud. So when I came here I tried my namme from there, GUNNER, but it was taken so I tried my CS name, Juggernaut ,but it was gone too.

So Stallion it was. :)

It sounds like Siberia but the root of it is based on cyber- (as in cybernetics for example) which loosely means "computer-related".

inataysia: ee nuh tay zha

from "I'm not as think as you stoned I am", though i've never smoked pot or tobacco.

picked it loooong time ago when signing up for AIM in the mid 90s, has been unique enough that i can use it anywhere. quick googling reveals some band i'd never heard of has the name, but i came up with it independently...

i'm also know as gwailo in certain circles because i'm white and a large majority of my friends from high school days are asian. if ever i'm accepted into my roommates' UT clan (doesn't look likely now that UT2k3 is out), i'm planning on changing it to a certain Tolkienian Windlord.

I honestly have no idea how I can up with this nick. All I know is that in 1997, I started using an IPX-over-TCP/IP system called Khan, and needed a nickname for all the games I played over it. I chose Electrode.

I accept it sounding like Cook or Cookie.
It started off as a spinoff of my lastname. Then, much much latter, I discovered that it's dirty words in at least five languages, and the list keeps growing.
