(Quick-Fire)

Well I could have gotten the name from my wife for being premature when intimate, but I have over come than condition. :D

It's a rip-off from a website I helped develop back in 1999, www.quixtar.com.

When trying come up with a decent online gaming name most of the ones I tried were already taken. So I chose Quixfire.

vi ed it - I worked as an analyst doing support for HPUX systems. I had to go in use the vi editor to repair program errors and write sorts and selects. I loved it (sarcasm) so much I decided to make a nick out of it.

I want to change my handle to just plain old "jd" but it's probably already taken, and don't want to trouble the mods.

For those of you who don't know the english alphabet - Cee Pee Ae

Because that's what I am.

I was going to use my other nik - popojiju, which is a play off of the mouse on the Ed Sullivan show - but decided it was too childish.

wolf's raider

in my navy days my department head was known as the wolf (lt commander giles)and when he needed something "gotten" he sent his raiders.originally there were five of us.the others got out before me and were never replaced.
so i carried on the tradition for two years solo.getting supplies that we werent allocated funds for etc...
the department head changed during my last 6 months and few remembered that i was the junior member that came to be the leader of the "find it fast club" lol.

before you go thinking i was doing something illegal i traded what we had an abundance of for stuff we needed or wanted and had a reputation of being the best lol

de8212 = dee-eee-eight-two-one-two

de = initials
8212 = PIN # for my atm card.

OK, so I lied about the last part.

I'm a huge fan of Monkey Island and the other LucasArts graphical adventures of the early-late 90's.

I can't wait until the next Monkey Island game comes out. Or something like Grim Fandango.

It would have been more interesting if I used my AIM screen name for AT..

BInTheF

Originally it was meant as 4 words, the B and F being the first letters of the two outer ones. So it would have been like b in the f. I have had this nick for a long time, loooong time, and it had actually originated from high school when people called me breezer. My last name is Bresee. The s sounds kinda like a z. Tons of different kinds of things they added onto the end of that and one was Breezer in the freezer. Dont ask why, I dont even know why. Stupid classmates, thats about all. Now people just say bin-thef (like theft but, well yea) or just 'bin' if for some reason they're calling me by my nick. Very few people knew it was actually 4 words and that is why it has the caps and lowercase. You do now though :D Thats my CS nick too now, but i didnt capitalize anything.

SAR - GENT - BUD - DEE

Sgt because I am on.

Buddy is my Air Force Callsign. I was a crewmember in AWACS and when the crew would go TDY (temporary duty) the person making the room assignments would normally go through a nervous breakdown. Person A cannot room with Person B or D, Person B cannot room with E, R, T, F or G. It was a PITA! I could room with anyone and anyone could room with me. I was everyone's Buddy.

Alright, I'm just gonna quote myself on this one...:)

Well, the painting room in my high school's shop happened to be poorly ventilated. I was in there with some of my friends staining pieces of wood for a sled project we were doing. The fumes must have gotten to me because I suddenly blurted out that my name was "DeRusto" after seeing the can of DeRusto paint on the shelf. Of course, this paint's name is probably pronounced Dee-Rust-oh, but..being high, I pronounced it Day-Roost-oh. I dunno, it just kinda stuck:)

I've been using this nick for about 5 years now..

Oh, and just to make sure you all know, I STILL pronounce it Day-Roost-oh:)

;)
