Looked for about 10 minutes but I can't find any prices for the Arena X-Glide. Not long ago the LZR suits were in the 800 range.....

Swimsuits are now banned, they were insane. Some expect these records to stand for many years now because the swimsuits helped that much. There is some worry, valid I think, that interest in swimming (try to hold your laughter; fact is nobody gives a sh*t about it anyway except in the olympics) will wane because records will be so hard to break. They shouldn't have allowed these in the first place.

Most sports have gear and it helps to varying degrees. This is not black and white. However, in this I think it's hard to argue for the suits. They're just silly. It's really disrespectful for a sport, if nothing else, to allow the introduction of some ridiculous piece of gear and watch all the previous records be shattered. Makes it a bit of a joke.

I thought it was stupid last year and said as much to at least a few people. Seeing their lats all squeezed out over the top, it's retarded.
