Or maybe he was trained well enough that it was skill and not luck.
Find some evidence of that and maybe I'll buy it. Given the video evidence, he looks like a guy who had no clue what he was doing, like most gun owners.

The guy got extraordinarily lucky. He's _your_ hero, maybe, certainly not mine. I think he's a fucking idiot.

No, you wouldn't. It doesn't align with your political views.
It's pretty evident he was fearless by going right at the guy. Being fearless is important in a life or death situation. His shots were also on target which is also important.Find some evidence of that and maybe I'll buy it. He hid that fact he was drawing his weapon by being behind his employees. That's kinda iffy but for all anyone knew the guy was going to rob the place and execute everyone in the building. It's hard to judge his decision which happened in the blink of an eye until you're in a similar situation.
I have to give the guy credit. He made the decision that it was him or the robber and followed through.
It's pretty evident he was fearless by going right at the guy.
Being fearless and being intelligent are two different things.
Yeah, hell of a shot. Must have been the first thing they taught him: make sure you disable the other guy's gun. Because you may not like what happens if you don't.
...He hid that fact he was drawing his weapon by being behind his employees. ...
he was not aiming for his gun, it just got in the way. It made for an interesting byline for the media.
Moronic comedian. Nobody gives a crap what he thinks. He is a comedian and obviously so are you.
Was not really directed at you dude 🙂 It was mentioned by others in the thread and is more of an example of how we all are manipulated by the media.Sorry if I implied that.
My point was the gun would have been in front of the robber's face or body. So the good guy was aiming well. Only HumblePie could hit the slide like that.
So what is it about enjoying and exercising one's rights makes a person a nut?
That's the understatement of the night. That could have gone so wrong it's not even funny.
Comes out shooting from behind two fellow employees. Just brilliant. Sometimes things go right for all the wrong reasons. In the end, he's just another idiot with a gun. This time, one that somehow managed not to get himself or anyone near him killed.
Well if he enjoyed exercising them that time I would think he was kind of a nut.
because having someone threaten you with a gun could not possibly end without incident. He fired his weapons behind his employees,.. NOW I see why some of you guys are praising this man as a hero.
He certainly has every right to defend himself, no dispute. But, he showed irresponsible behavior by hiding behind his employees to draw and fire his gun. That is pretty fucked up.
Sure, he took the chance,.. but, he took the chance with the lives of two other people.
Personally, I would have told the employees to leave/duck and then fire. I would not draw and fire behind anyone.
I am glad nothing bad happened to them. But, this was certainly fucked up of him.
And, if the employees could not leave/duck, I would give over the money without incident.
oh please. You know very well that the media make anyone out to be a nut who has multiple guns and/or a supply of ammo.
the gun nuts are yes, the gun nuts.
nuts, no logic, no sense, just nuts. good to see another post verifying that.
The media? Like there's one monolithic media, and it's out to get you? It wasn't the idea of the right to self-defense that struck me as insane. It was the word "enjoying."
I would say that the pro-gun rights crowd is the side that tends to be more logical and use some sort of common sense. The anti-gun crowd is emotion driven and illogical. Just look at some of the gun control laws that do nothing worthwhile to fix the problems.
Would you say the same thing if the guy took the money and then gunned down every person in the store? I'm sure it was one of the possibilities that probably ran through the owners head in a split second. He fired his weapons behind his employees,.. NOW I see why some of you guys are praising this man as a hero.
