I should have taken the advice of the nay-sayers in the other thread. Wow, I'm glad that meal was expensed otherwise i'd be pretty upset.

Other thread

The lettuce wraps disgusting.
The orange peel chicken was nothing special
The egg rolls were dry.
The dumplings were not bad though.
The price was outragous for serving size

I won't be going back there again. Those of you who advised me to go else where, here is your chance to gloat.

I would imagine authentic chinese food in chinatown would be 10000 times better than a chinese chain restaurant.

I went there this Saturday also, I got the crispy honey chicken and it was pretty good.

Maybe I just picked a good dish?

But for $10 for the meal I thought it was worth it.

Good rule to live by: chains suck! You'll get far better pizza at local joints instead of Pizza Hut or Dominos. If you want great seafood look to the shore, not Red Lobster. Almost any Italian restaurant will be better than Olive Garden and Taco Bell damn sure isn't good Mexican or even Tex-Mex. Why would you think things would be any different for Chinese? Want to find a good restaurant, find out where the locals eat. If you follow names, chains and tourists you'll never get a good meal.

Too bad the Chinese food served in US restaurants doesn't really resemble the Chinese food in China.

Certainly wasn't the same thing when I was there last December.

If you go to PFC's expecting chinese food, you will be dissapointed. If you go expecting a quality meal that is unlike most other places, it is very good.

There are only few dishes good enough for me to recommand...and sadly you choose poorly. if you want to go there again, try shanghi street dumplings (it's more like steamed pork buns but with chicken), and mongolian beef. oh yeah garlic noodles and spicy egg plants aren't too bad.

Hell, we asked the guy who came out with our dishes what the dish names were so we could pass them around cause he just sort of plopped them on the table. He looked at them at went "Well I think thats chicken ... with .. broccoli?" We ended up just guessing. Our appetizers appeared about 10 minutes after we finished the entree (it was free by that point though, which was alright I guess).
