Nothing against ALL skaters... but I don't know a single person (in real life) that can call themselves a skater that isn't a total delinquent....
I hate myself for entering this thread and I think that anyone who glorifies these antics by promoting media such as jackass and its counterparts should be ashamed of themselves... as should the parents of these kids for failing to instill in them the moral sense to know better.
I hope these kids end up flipping my burgers on wellfare so I can pay my state taxes to see them locked up for slinging crack. I am already seeing it happen all around me. My takehome dropped from 80% to 75% this year. Thanks Uncle Sam- lock'em up and show those A-Rabs and their "technicals" who's boss!!!! :roll:

As I said, PETA is no different than Hezbullah to me and Hezbullah militants are known to accept their faith as a militant and live the rest of their lives in jail rather than giving up their faith in Hezbullah. And FYI, neither the legal system nor any indirect evidence (videotapes) are proven to be 100% accurate. Anyways, what about that quiz you missed and bitched about? Oh yeah, you got owned. I seriously doubt that a PETA member would have acted this out but I think they are just as irresponsible for linking to and showing this video. What kind of message are they trying to send? That someone who eats meat, wears fur or has a pet is the same as the fvcking b4stards that did this? PETA just makes me hate them more and more all the time. I hope they all DIE!!!

I don't like PETA but I love dogs. I'm glad these people were caught and I hope they are punished.
The debating on lifestyle in this thread is pathetic. Poor judgement is a part of youth, but seems to follow some well into adulthood. The depth of your judgement or lack there of probably comes more from your upbringing mixed with a dash of genetics than your passtime of choice. Anyone can try to rationalize a point 1000 different ways and site examples along the lines of "Since X did Y then all people like X are Y." This doesn't wash for boxers, even though Tyson did time for rape and ate Holyfield's ear people know he is the exception. Any other sport is more accepted in the public mind, but people are willing to accept the thought that all skater=bad people because of the relative youth of skating. Eventually the fact that a person used a skateboard will become a minor detail rather than a barometer for everyone who owns one. If the kid had used a golf club this thread would be about 30 posts shorter.
The arguement that all stereotypes have their roots in truth is a farce. No stereotype is universally applicable. The antisocial skater stereotype stems from being considered a public nussiance. Skaters were getting chased by police, security guards, store owners & overzealous citizens long before Jackass, Bam, or any video Mill claims to have seen made them lose all self control.

and the 'prove peta was not behind this'? how about you prove that Isreal didn't do september 11th??? after all they benefitted in some ways from the policies enacted afterwards as well as anti muslim sentiment it stirred up in USA. so prove they didn't do it! and providing any proof will only get you flamed??? wtf???

It's also the fact that we have so many irresponsible stupid breeders. When people used to fight there dogs did we ever hear about them biting people? No, because the old dogmen would kill their dogs if they ever showed human aggression. Being aggressive against dogs was good, but never against a human. How can they handle a dog in a pit if it would bite them when they try to pick it up. They had to rid that from the genetics. Pit bulls are one of the few dogs where you can pick one up after they get hit by a car and they won't bite you.
They tried to rid that from the genetics but now you have people just breeding their mean dog with their neighbors mean dog because it seems cool. Now you have two big mean dogs. Another thing that most people don't realize is that most of the pit bulls that you think are pits aren't really. A pit bull should never be bigger than 50 lbs, so when ver.you see these 80 lb monsters it's because they were crossbred with something else such as an American Bulldog. It's just that the breeders decide to call them pits. They never care about their temperament and will sell them to anyone who has the money.
The media also portrays pit bulls worse than any other dog. It used to be the rottweiler with the bad rap, and now it's the pit. Who knows what it will be next, maybe the Akita. I didn't hear much about the 3 year old that got mauled by the golden retreiever. And what happens when a dog thats not a pit but people mistake it as one mauls someone. It gets said that it's a pit on the front page of the paper and if they find out later that it's not it's put on like page 47 with size 3 font. It's not just bad training, it's bad breeding.

Yeah, I'm generally not one to shy away from shocking videos or pictures, but abuse to animals is something I just find very disturbing, so the above description of what happened is more than enough for me, I won't be watching either.
Just as well, what this has to do with PETA I have no clue. I don't think you have to be in a fanatical group like PETA to agree that beating a sleeping dog with a skateboard is wrong. Nor does this behavior have anything to do with eating chicken, beef, etc. Stupid shock video to try to bolster their radical stance on their views.

I just wish those asshats had picked a different breed to hit. I'd like to see that guy run up on a full grown Akita and try to hit it twice like that. Not because I dont like Akitas, but because the last time I saw someone hit an Akita he got owned... owned like a rice-boy in a Civic drag racing against a modded Hayabusa.
Or, alternatively, that one of them had hit my grandfather's old guard dog for his fence company. Mack got hit in the head with a two foot piece of scrap pipe by a bum, and all the bum accomplished by hitting Mack was to get Mack's full and undivided attention. Unfortunately, I didnt get to see that fight, but the outcome was much the same as the incident listed above.
But, of course, asshats like those in the video dont have the balls to pick on a big, aggressive dog. They hit a retriever that obviously was no threat to them. I hope they get sentenced to being locked in a small room with a very large and very hungry wolf.

This is along the lines of being there when someone steals from you and catching them, or keys my car and seeing them do it, I would love to have been there personally to see this, cause this asshats would have been getting their own heads bashed in. I'm not some extreme animal lover, but surely, if they do this to an animal, what's next?
