When he says the same things over and over and over again, it's silly to claim that he meant something different ONCE.

You start out saying he never said something. I show that he said it.

Then you say he didn't say it in a positive way. I again show that he did say it in a positive way.

Now you respond by lying about how often he has said the things he did, and then claiming we should believe your biased interpretations over the words we can hear coming out of his own mouth.

In other words: you're yet another dishonest right-wing ass.

You've done nothing in this thread but whine about people taking his comments out of context. Then you want to take four little words out of the whole context of his speech and his presidency, to demonstrate what you want to see.

Dishonest is the right word, but you're applying it wrong.

The irony here is that Obama said exactly what we said he said, twice. You want to use context to shift the meaning to something more politically viable, which MIGHT be true, and then to further deny that the Messiah said something different - which CANNOT be true.
Nobody is denying the words themselves. The focus of this debate is the dishonest, out-of-context spin by the hate mongers on the right wing fringe.

That's a shameless lie.

I showed in detail exactly how the comments are being taken out of context, providing links to the context.

You also specifically asked me for quotes and I provided them. I also provided extra quotes to support my point that you have misrepresented Obama's views about the successful.

And you simply pretend they don't exist and keep repeating your bullshit claims.

People like you are what's wrong with political debate in this country.

No, you didn't. You're the one misrepresenting his views.

No, it's people like you.

No, it's people like you.

Your claim:
Romney was cheering the achievers, just as much as the community support they received.

Where was Obama's cheering for the business people? Please quote it for us.

My response, including specific quotes you asked for, here.

You then challenged:

Does that look like support for risk-takers and entrepreneurs to you?

And I responded with more specific quotes on the subject here.

You didn't address any of the quotes provided, just pretended they didn't exist and said "all I had done was whine".

You're a lying sack of shit.

I managed to stay out of this thread and I will now say one thing and exit. If you're going to comment on a speech/article/statement whatever, read/listen to the damn thing first. We don't need to waste bandwidth debating for 19 pages with people who haven't even taken in what they're commenting on.

Oh and sorry, I lied - I do have a second point: if you've dug yourself into a hole, quit while you're behind. For chrissakes, don't dig any deeper. I'm honestly embarrassed for some of the people posting in this thread.

That ain't "cheering", by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe you should look up the definition of that word.

Do you know what "support" is? It ain't meeting someone at the door, asking them for more money, which is exactly what he's advocating in this speech and every other one he's made for months now.

You're a lying sack of shit.

I was wrong when I said all you did was whine. In addition to whining, you've called people names and ducked their specific questions when you weren't able to answer.

Good luck with that.

Isn't pretty much every thread's debate about the dishonest, out-of-context spin by the hate mongers on the right wing fringe? Can you honestly think of a topic discussed on these boards where most on the left don't feel that anyone in disagreement is a dishonest hate mongering right wing nutter?

Speaking for myself personally, I have no problem with having a reasonable discussion or disagreement with righties, when they are willing to deal with a topic reasonably. Unfortunately, that's become rather rare, not just here, but in politics in general.

For example, if sixone doesn't think Obama is "cheering" enough in his comments about entrepreneurship, then fine. That's a matter of opinion, and everyone can have a different opinion.

But when sixone or others start deliberately distorting facts, claiming that Obama or people here said things they didn't say, or didn't say things they did, or intentionally posting comments out of context and then lying about doing so, then rational discussion becomes impossible.
