I was able to do 85lb dumbbell bench press 5x5 today. This is a long time coming since my shoulder injury last year. I was benching 205lb on the bench before I hurt my shoulder and now I can only do dumbbells.

Good job coming back from that.

One tip, getting into position to do heavy DB bench presses is not as easy as just sliding underneath a barbell. If you workout at home you may want to look into getting power hooks, I find using them puts my shoulder under less stress for both getting into position and finishing the set.

Congrats!

My mate was struggling on flat DB and he was getting p!ssed! He never does it and he always uses the barbell. I'm going to start doing DB on Monday instead of barbell instead.
