I just use godaddy.com to register a domain, they will forward any email to that domain to any other email for free.

Yes I can offer permenant email. I know I will always have a web server so yes I can make it permament. I just dont want to gaurentee that it will be free for more than a year or so, all depends on how many accounts I create.

I use Fusemail. No ads like Yahoo/Hotmail who are advertising whores! You can direct all Hotmail/Yahoo/etc. mail to your Fusemail account.

another bump for domain + hosting.

hell even if you don't host .. you can redirect all your emails.

I use mail.ru.

25mb space, POP3 support.. free...

you need to know a few words of russian to set it up though. so that might be a problem for you ;)
