You would be right if he actually had a team that worked together to promote Trumps ideas......yet you can hardly call a dysfunctional family a team...Remember folks, trump didn't come up with this stuff himself. He has a team of people, like bush Jr, who enable the president to abuse his power (abuse as in violating the expectations and reasons for using tools available to the president).
You dont search for unregulated narcotics at the borders already?!Trump actually made a good point on Fentanyl, it is the worst thing that has been abused by people and pharmaceutical companies. It's a drug that is supposed to be used by late stage terminal cancer patients who's pain and suffering is so great that morphine can't help them. China is one reason we have so much cheap ease of access to Fentanyl, that drug has to be 100% embargoed and only made as well as properly distributed in the USA.
I think trump says random stuff and then his team creates whacky explanations based on very loose interpretations of current law to try and paint him as something other than a demented angry old man.Remember folks, trump didn't come up with this stuff himself. I'll take a kilo of coke, a couple of sheets of blotter acid, a bag of tamazipam and some heroin to take the edge off then, you can send it second class if you want, no rush.
A war with Iran would take about 1/4 as long as Desert Storm. They have zero strategic advantage, a military that can do little except control their own people to keep the current regime in charge and resolve generally goes out the window when the bombs start falling. Ask the vaunted Iraqi Republican Guard. The only impact to the world economy would be a very short term rise in the price of oil.
Iran is a convenient boogie man. It's important for wannabe tough guy leaders to have a couple of arch enemies to point to as say "See!! They're tough!! You need me to protect you" and even more important for those pseudo-enemies to be weak and easily cowed so that you can saber rattle 24/7 without it leading to anything. Iran is perfect in that role. No real capabilities or danger, but people still remember the hostage crisis and can get riled up easily if Iran is the supposed opponent.
Way too many. Enough that we could properly support public schools, beef up Social Security, and have Single Payer Health care. Yes exactly that much.Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life son.
How many trillions have we spent after "winning" wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001?

I have long thought that maybe the US should limit their involvement in the Middle East due to the fact that almost every time we do something we made things worse much worse. That sounds like socialism! Don't you care about freedom and smiting the evil doers half way around the world? Trading a $2M missile for a guy with an AK-47 seems to make good fiscal sense. Especially when he is replaced by 3 guys with AKs because we killed their relative.
I'm of the thought that they are now kicking themselves for supporting Trump, and thinking: "What the Fuck were we thinking? " Talk about having heavy deep regrets. kind in line with Germany's Elite sending Lenin to Russia to get them out of WW1 and supporting Hitler and the Nazis, OOPS!!!Those very wealthy business folks who tuned into Trump ordering them to obey his edicts must have been having stomach and face cramps from laughing their asses off at him.
I am so certain all they see in him is the useful idiot trying so hard to impress them (and miserably failing) with his self-proclaimed genius and cunning at running the family business.
Donnie's pretty upset with a policy that was a core component of Saint Ronald -encourage US companies to offshore production.
His heart is in the right place on this issue-too bad he has not made even a slight effort to think through an effective policy to counter forty years of bad policy.
First step would be to revise the tax code to actually encourage production in the USA and penalize offshoring.
Yeah Regan was certainly did start the decline of the Middle Class and the onset of US companies Off Shoring Manufacturing.Trump and his Ilk are the Bad Fruit resulting from the Tree planted by and watered Friedman, Hayak, and others.Saint Ronald's policies were pushed by Friedman and Hayak who knew the result of their ideas would result in massive displacement and unemployment, that's why they wanted a basic income guarantee. However big business only picked and chose the policies they liked and the Republicans and Neoliberals just followed whatever their donors wanted, and the donors want every last cent of profit to be socialized to the capital owner. Hence we have the modern clusterfuck of a system.
Iraq wasn’t that long ago. How can it be that people forgot the lessons already?
what kind of CEO or small, large business owner is going to take the advice of the objectively worst businessman in the history of humanity and apply that to their company?
You mean the same smart for themselves CEOs that had no problem selling the middle class down the river using carefully crafted bullshit like trickle down, greed is good, profit only matters, prosperity through overpriced college degrees not dirty manufacturing, democracy through free markets, while laying off millions, so they can siphon more wealth to the top while hallowing out the middle class,
they along with their bought and paid for free trade politicians and bankster buddies are the reason we have Trump, now they get to enjoy the pain just like the rest of America that they only cared about if they had money to spend on their cheaply made outsourced goods.
I have as much pity for them as the southern plantation owners that had to give up their slaves and the northerners who benefited from it while proclaiming how they were free states.
Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life son.
How many trillions have we spent after "winning" wars in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001?
I see you are using your own private definition of war here in order to make your case. The occupations of Afghanistan and Iraq are part and parcel of the wars there. You should take your own advice although calling you merely stupid would be too kind and nobody could get to that level of brain damage through alcohol alone. We never fought a war in Afghanistan and we won the war in Iraq is about 20 minutes with almost no casualties. We would wipe out Iran's (cough) military (/cough) in less time than that if we ever fought a war with them.
We're losing occupations because we didn't learn shit from the Russians in Afghanistan and the French in Vietnam. Winning wars in the middle east is easy, occupying the territory of zealot martyrs is another matter entirely. If you're not smart enough to understand the difference, hey, congrats!! You qualify for a job in the White House.
There were multiple constituencies that comprised the coalition that elected Trump. Those experiencing economic displacement were one such coalition (and sadly they believe his bogus promises). The idea that we have Trump because of free trade is ridiculous bullshit. We have Trump because of racism. His voters never cared about 'economic anxiety'. At all.
