Stop bring productions somewhere other than China, I don’t have the tweet but it’s pretty much what he said.

#somuchwinning

For the record I think the President has the right idea but he has no plan at all which is concerning.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we had some sort of tax policy that could be used as a carrot & stick?
Too bad there are no tools to do the #bothsides to keep the usual suspects happy.

The first part is ungrammatical and the second part is an independent sentence not connectable by a comma.

what kind of CEO or small, large business owner is going to take the advice of the objectively worst businessman in the history of humanity and apply that to their company?

What's most amazing is that's our president. He at least needs a time out at The Home for the Extremely Nervous.

Trump actually made a good point on Fentanyl, it is the worst thing that has been abused by people and pharmaceutical companies. It's a drug that is supposed to be used by late stage terminal cancer patients who's pain and suffering is so great that morphine can't help them. China is one reason we have so much cheap ease of access to Fentanyl, that drug has to be 100% embargoed and only made as well as properly distributed in the USA.

I agree and as I said I think the President has the right idea but no strategy plus he shoots himself in the dick.
Wouldn’t it be great if Europe was willing to help out because I’m sure they are sick of China’s bullshit too.
Wouldn’t it be great if leaders in Europe could speak with the President and not have a cloud of insults & doubt.

Donnie's pretty upset with a policy that was a core component of Saint Ronald -encourage US companies to offshore production.

His heart is in the right place on this issue-too bad he has not made even a slight effort to think through an effective policy to counter forty years of bad policy.

First step would be to revise the tax code to actually encourage production in the USA and penalize offshoring.

It would be great if we had a President that was capable and wasn't in the pocket of big pharma and other ultra rich groups.

GOP: Don't vote for Dems since they are socialists.

Trump: I am centrally planning the economy.

GOP: Why would Democrats do this to us?
Well, yeah, but that's not socialism because it's not giving people free stuff. DON'T YOU KNOW ANYTHING

Thank God we have a conservative Republican President, a true capitalist who is completely opposed to govt interference in the markets, in the White House!

Eh, the economy *was* planned. When we helped China into the WTO, US businesses knew they were going to save billions upon billions.
Free trade run amok (as China was playing by different rules). As much as I hate Trump, we did walk into this eyes wide open (our gov't, not the people).

I am starting to believe he really wants to tank the economy... so long as he thinks he can blame someone else for it.

Private American companies are "hereby ordered" to do something by the American president? Very "dictatorish" of him.

Setting aside the disturbing nature of "hereby ordered"....does he have any idea how large a task it would be for American industry to "find an alternative" to China? A massive pivot in infrastructure not seen since Pearl Harbor. And the cost to the American consumer would be staggering.

Trump thinks he is still on "The Apprentice" where he can just order people around. And the Fed chief is America's enemy, along with the president of China. UPS was just blithely shipping fentanyl out of China until Trump wisely ordered them to start looking for it and cut it out? Wtf? Does that mean that they will be rejecting shipments of fentanyl for legitimate purposes? It does have legitimate purposes, surgery and late stage cancer.

Trump is also asking his aides why does he have to go to the G-7 meeting. Apparently, Trump thinks "it's not a good use of his time".

Yes, the American President should concentrate on the important stuff like watching cable TV, tweeting, playing golf, and ranting about his "enemies" and the unfairness of his treatment by the whole world.

Time for the 25th please...

I don't think he does, but his policies are heading that way. He'll blame anyone he can for anything that goes wrong, that for sure is true.
China will go the distance, if people riot in the streets, disappear them - no big deal.

Trump will just say that’s why he needs to be President for life. Chinese have a Leader for life we deserve the same.

The only thing his fat ass can "order" is a Big Mac.

No, actually that would be fascism.
