pepsi throwback round2 (Necroed, so round 3)

This is horseshit. I've checked around here, and its nowhere to be found. I did find Mt. Dew Throwback at Wal-Mart last night, but not Pepsi.

Just checked that store locator. Yeah, can't find any within 50 miles carrying it. They carried it last year, but I guess not this year. Fucking assholes. Of course I don't think it even showed up until March last year, so maybe its delayed here.

I like it, tastes like a slightly sweeter version of Coke without the acidic/bitter aftertaste.

I'd love to try the Dr. Pepper version (I drink Dr. Pepper more than anything). Oh well.

i did a comparison of last years formula versus this year's.
kinda like last year's more. more acid and sugar zing.

i need to try the drPepper.

Still tastes better than regular Pepsi. Mt dew is better in round 2 and the dr. pepper isn't available here yet =(

grocery stores around my town are full of pepsi and mt. dew throwback.

now they need to bring back the WoW mountain dew!!

They've had these out for a month now. The Pepsi, Dr Pepper, and Mt Dew are all in their classic 60's-70's cans. We noticed that they're all a bit more watery tasting than the last "Classic" formula. I think Pepsi is screwing with us.

I think the Pepsi cans are the 1980's version. From what I remember as a kid the 70's version was a bit different design and a lighter shade of blue.

Mt. Dew is either 60's or 70's though. Haven't seen the Dr. Pepper around here yet.

Can't find a pic of the cans, but here are some Pepsi bottles from the 70's with the logo I remember from then...

Spending way more time on this than I should... 😉

Just looking at the official Pepsi Throwback page and they are showing this image for the cans/bottles...which is the one I've been seeing in the stores around here and what I remember being their design in the 1980's

However they also have this image

on their page...haven't seen it around here, but maybe they have some bottles/cans in circulation with that logo as well...which is the one I remember from the 70's.

FWIW, I noticed that AM/PM mini marts have Pepsi/Mountain Dew throwback in the plastic 20 oz bottles (this was in Huntington Beach, CA). So if you want to try it without buying a full 12 pack that might be an option.

I tried the Mountain Dew and thought it tasted great. Sweet without being overly sweet. It is a shame it isn't permanent.

i really dont know why pepsi just doesnt keep it. if it cost more then charge more if people like it they will buy it. And we do LIKE IT A LOT!
