but i dispise the folks who think that only bush can fight this war on terrorism. What do they think Kerry/Dean would do? Use the homeland security money to build a theme park? Give Bin Laden a slap on the wrist?
They would revert back to Clintonian/Democratic fantasies. That in itself is scary. I don't trust Democrats with national security. The last Democrat (aside from Clinton) that mishandled national security came before Clinton and his name was Carter.

Lesser of two evils. Seriously, Bush rates about a 3 on my scale from 1 to 10. However, I have yet to see a democrat rate higher than a 1 except for Russ Feingold. Russ rates about a 2.5.
Basically, when the American people vote, they are just deciding which way they want to be screwed.
How so? I really am interested.Originally posted by: CADkindaGUY

I think you need to take another look at 'Ol Russel "like the back of my hand" Feingold. He's not what he's cracked up to be. He might be a 1.25 or 1.5 but I think you give him way too much credit with a 2.5I know I know he's in your back yard but it was my back yard a few years ago too. Russ hasn't changed in those few years.

He might be marginally better than your average Dem pol in Wisconsin but IMO you gave him too much credit. He's a party line guy minus the campaign finance BS(which scores negative points with me)
I'm not sure why he gets more credit from you. Is there something that makes him special?

Get over it. The results of the election were inconclusive. If you talk to the liberals, Gore won. If you talk to the conservatives, Bush won. No one knows for real what happened. It just depends on where you get your info from. Trying to argue about who won is like arguing about whether the glass is half full or empty. Both sides can make a very compelling argument and provide TONS of evidence, but in the end, no one will be proven wrong and everyone will go home unhappy.Originally posted by: Moonbeam

Al Gore did win the election. Bush was selected. The votes were never counted during the election. They were counted after the election independently. Just as Bush knew when he stopped the vote count, GORE WON.
It's very important for the future credibility and respect of America with future citizens of the world that everybody know that Bush lost the election and was not the person voted in as President. The great loss and disaster he brought to the nation flows from that. God did not want him to win. He won because of the Devil. He's a cheat and a fraud and a man without principle. The fantastic part is that the votes he did get are from those who fear the Devil. But that's the way the Devil is, tricky. He always looks like the Savior to those who fear Salvation.

Like how the war was about WMD's/9-11/Al Qaeda/Uranium/Empty Tubes/Grave DANGER/Freeing Iraq/Saddam's a bad man though he wasn't an imminent threat/Democracy (essentially Nation Building which he was totally against in the 2000 election debates).

Bull sh!t. The votes were counted after the election. Gore won. He won according to the ballots count. The ballots were finally counted. You can interpreted anything you want but you can't change numbers. Gore got the most legal votes. Bush stole the election. Why do you think he sued to have the count stopped. They knew from the exit polls who won. Bush knew he lost. That's why he stopped the vote count.
