It does matter becuase you're trying to imply that the kid with enemies has these enemies for no reason. If that is the case, you need to just come out and say that. My guess is that you don't know why he has these enemies.

Fine, I'll come out and say it. This kid has enemies for no reason.

Why is that?

Like I said, it doesn't matter. If you have enemies for no reason, does it matter if its because you're black, gay, smart, or simply are dating the girl that one of your enemies used to date? None of those are valid reasons to assault someone.

Not trying to validate a physical assult on another person. Just trying to understand why this person who shouldn't have enemies, according to you, actually does.

There are a LOT of people that have enemies for no reason, or for a very stupid reason.

no, there are not. if you think that, you must be extremely paranoid. you do not get an enemy for no reason at all.

Been awhile since high school? Teenagers are stupid and hold grudges for all kinds of stupid reasons. Not to mention there seems to be an influx in gangsta thugs these days.

1) Every one of these posts is the same. My <insert friend/relative> was wronged by the system because all they did was <insert action>. They are a great person and would never do this intentionally. Why is life so unfair? This is the whole and complete story even though I was not there and got it 2nd hand from someone who was.

2) ATOT proceeds to let the person know that they were in the wrong and the punishment was just.

3) OP claims no one really understands and that everyone posting here is wrong and ignorant.

4) OP has a choice, back out of the thread slowly or continue to fight and lose. Which one will Cuda choose??

There are a LOT of people that have enemies for no reason, or for a very stupid reason.

But lets pretend that this kid actually did something to the other person. Lets say they got in an argument in gym class over a basketball game. My sisters friend called him an asshole and they got into a verbal argument in class. Does that now give the other kids the right to attack my sisters friend AND my sister? Keep in mind, they kicked my sisters car.

I'll go ahead and answer that for you, no. It does not. And these good kids shouldn't be held responsible for a bunch of thugs chasing them. They didn't put themselves in a bad situation. A bad situation followed them. They did what they thought at the time was the best thing to save themselves from harm. Half of them hid, half of them drove through a lawn to get away.

Is that really that bad that it require essays, punitive damages AND 50 hours community service? I think not.

You must be young. The answer to your question is undoubtly, 100% no. There are really no good reasons for physically attacking another person. The point I am trying to make is that you should stop trying to drum up sympathy by pretending this kid is gay and he is being attacked simply by a lack of tolerance.

And the point Im trying to make is it shouldn't really matter why he was attacked. Their reason for escaping is the same either way, they don't want to be harmed. And Im sure their method for escaping would be the same as well. Its not like they thought "oh hey, he's gay so I can hide in this garage without getting in trouble, but if he wasn't gay I'd have to do something else".

Bottom line, is they were trying to avoid being harmed. They thought this was the best way to avoid it. Given the circumstances, I can't think of a hell of a lot of other ways to avoid these people and a major fight. Sure, they could have called the police while driving - instead of after they got to safety, but hindsight is always 20/20 now isn't it? And I'd hardly classify that as a crime either.

Now, what Im wondering is why the hell do good kids get 50 hours of freaking community service for running from people trying to harm them? Thats ****** bullsh!t.

Good kids?? Good kids don't hang out around empty construction sites. Believe me, I know. I did that kind of crap when I was that age and looking back, I was NOT a good kid. What exactly were they doing that they couldn't do in the general vicinity of other people? I know what I was doing and it was NOT being a "good kid." Moral of the story, tell you sister to check herself. Not only were they driving on somebody's lawn they were tresspassing on private property as well just by being there to begin with. By being alone and away from the eyes of the general public out in some construction site, they set themselves up for what happened to them.

lol, so true. i love how he keeps saying they're "good kids". good kids don't get into trouble like this. they're either doing drugs or destroying property.

also, how did the "bad kids" find the "good kids"? how did they even get caught?

so if i'm defacing someone's property and they come after me and try to beat me up, i can do whatever i want to avoid being harmed and not have to suffer the consequences of my actions?

OP points out that a vast majoirty of ATOT is condescending and egotistical. Furthermore, OP points out that many of the people fail to address the points the OP has raised.

1. Regardless of why the kid was being chased, there is no reason to harm someone. You cannot fault someone for being attacked.
2. Their were not many options for escape, what would you suggest instead? And for the record, taking a beating while attempting to dial 911 is not a valid option.
3. Kids offered to pay for any damages done, BEFORE they were told they had to.
4. Kids called the police as soon as they were safe, instead of fleeing the scene.
5. As I've already mentioned, Ive seen drug possession charges and DUI's get off with far less penalties. Are these really worse crimes? Or even consiered a crime at all?

What if one of the kids had a knife, a gun? Do the circumstances change then? Are you then justified in hiding in someones garage, or driving through someones yard?

Why do you keep assuming crazy ******? Defacing whose property? As Ive already said, they were hanging out at a clubhouse in a community subdivision. Teenagers hang out there all the time, and this one is apparently a fairly popular spot. The attackers recognized the truck of one of my sisters friends.

Where did I ever say they were vandalizing anyones property or doing drugs? And why would I come on ATOT to lie about something like that if they were? You're an idiot.

To answer point #1. . .DON'T HANG OUT ALONE IN EMPTY CONSTRUCTION SITES AND YOU WON'T PUT YOURSELF IN A SITUATION WHERE YOU ARE VULNERABLE TO BEING JUMPED! So YES we can blame them for being attacked.

bahahahahahahaha...besides, how many drug and DUI charges does a 15 year old see? if you're seeing this kind of stuff a lot, maybe there really is more to the story than you're giving us.

Just because I didn't give the color of the car, doesn't justify you making up that they were defacing property.

Again, if you have a question - just ask?

Its a freaking clubhouse inside a subdivision. Usually they have a pool, some sort of a parkish area. Basketball courts, tennis courts, sometimes a game room inside. Generally a place for teenagers (and other people) who live in that subdivision to hang out at.

You keep saying you want to know facts, yet Ive asked 3 times now. What facts do you want to know? Quit beating around the bush and tell me.

meh, they should be doing at least 50 hours of community service on their own per month anyway, so that's not real punishment. And the money pays for the lawn.

What happened to the kids doing the jumping?
