Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

My old house number was one digit off for this Chinese restaurant near my house. We would get calls all the freaking time for take out orders. This one time some lady called three times in a row, each time I told her that she had the wrong number. Finally I got fed up and took her order of Tomato Beef Chow Mein, Salted Fish and Chicken Fried Rice, Beef and Broccoli, and Steamed Catfish and told her that everything would be like $22.54 (i don't remember exactly how much I told her). She said "Okay and how long?" I told her to come down in about 20 minutes. :)

I had an off and on romance with a guy I only knew from the phone (and from an accidental call). We never met in person, although he knew where I lived and I would see him drive by sometimes.

That's kind of (ok, not just "kind of") creepy... but I suppose it beats the jarhead who could only talk about cleaning his guns..

Why not be in a romance with a great, normal guy?

It wasn't creepy at all, it was actually exciting and somewhat mysterous at the time. When I say "romance" I don't mean the fluffy kind. We had a lot of fun and I was much younger and dating (no one serious, not seeking or entering any committements). The wanted to meet in person, although I like the mystery of not meeting. here's more to the story but that's all I'll divulge. I still think fondly of him -- it's amazing the intimacy one can achieve (or think they achieve) without actually meeting someone. I think you AT geeks know a little about that ;)

It was like 2:30 am in the morning, I don't know what I was doing up. I was in my room and the phong rings and some man says:

man: "boom chicky boom"
me: "eh?"
man: "I said boom chicky boom"
me: "what %$^*?"
man: "no boom?"
me: no
man: sorry.

then some women calls another time and starts singing some crap like "how are you feeling ? how are you doing? it's been so long, I've missed you so much" then asks to speak with some lady name Mary. I asked her if it was her lesbian lover and she hung up.

Got a call a week or two ago from some guy whose voice I thought I recognized. Had the usual,
"How are things?"
"Good" and so on,
Then he asked, "So when do you go to <city I'm moving to after I graduate>?"
I said, "After I graduate..."
"Oh. Wait, what?"
"We're moving once I graduate, my dad is already out there though...commuting..."
"Oh...I have the wrong number."

Weird!
