Whatever happened to the good, old fashioned police beatings?

That was non-lethal weaponry! That hurt alot too!

Really though, the cops spend so much money working on a gun that does the same thing as a net and a taser.

Great, the government spends the citizen's tax money on a weapon to be used against them. Anyone see the irony in this? Sure peace keeping missions play a role, but those things usually turn ugly anyway and they'll have to resort to more lethal forms of weaponry.

Well, since it uses non ionising µWave radiation, it will be easy to shield against. This is nothing new folks. A crafty individual (probably more people on Anandtech--overclockers!) can take a home microwave oven apart and build a crude waveguide. I've done it, and I've seen others do it as well. We were able to melt a car stereo from 50 feet away. :D

<< seems to me like it would be a good idea, but who do they use as the test dummies? I would hate to be them incase something goes wrong >>

Finally, it seems that the NEF's may serve a useful purpose! :D

Cheers!

This kind of stuff is crap. The object of war is to kill people and break stuff. Trying to fight a humanitarian war is not possible. Do you guys seriously think that war has rules? Do you think that any country other than the U.S. would even try to use a non lethal weapon. We need to stop trying to be the nice guys and just go out and kick ass when need be.

"The object of war is to cause the maximum amount of wounds, death, and destruction to your enemy in the minimum amount of time." - General George S. Patton

bshiner: Of course I don't think it has rules. However, a ton of llama people (most of the American public) get caught up in the stupidity. Kind of like AOL :).
