How is it so **** stupid? Show me the sources debunking it. Show me footage of the Boeing aircraft hitting the Pentagon.

Some people are born without common sense. It's as if they lack the mental resolution to discern between fact and fiction. Unfortunately it sounds like you're one of them.

show the video tapes. the hard evidence. not some random guyh who said he saw it.

They're not going to release the video tapes. I bet I can't get Wal-Mart to release security videotapes from last night, either. It doesn't mean that an alien walked into the store with a purple dragon.

Just because you don't have video proof of a common-sense act doesn't mean that what really happened was this vast conspiracy beyond your wildest dreams.

THIS is what separates someone with an analytical mind from a typical looney conspiracy theorist.

they had no problem releasing many many tapes of the WTC. where are the ones that the govt confiscated from the hotels and tgas stations.

i was in that hotel in the very top level in the ballroom for a wedding reception about a month ago. you had a CLEAR view at the pentagon.

i too want to see that video ...

What makes you think they have cameras pointing at the Pentagon? I worked in the DEA building across I 395 from there and we had a clear view of it as well but that does not mean there are cameras trained on it from that building.

i'm talkin about the videos that the FBI confiscated from the gas station and supermarket, not the one from the hotel. i guess i should have made my other post a little more clear.

Really? I wanna hear some testimonials from the people who had relatives on that flight. Can anyone link me some info about where the plane took off from? Its been 4 years and I dont remember them talking much about the pentagon it was mostly about the WTCs.

Here is the full list:

List of crew/passengers

Google it up to your heart's desire.

Thanks. Its what I was looking for :)

One reason that the tapes were confiscated is that they all were considered evidence at a crime scene.

And even when the government does release the tape, are the conspiracy theorists really going to be satisfied? Why wouldn't they just assume that the government fabricated those videos? I mean the government has all the tools at its disposal.

These discussions are pretty productive. They allow me to gauge the mental health and reasoning ability of different people. If a discussion about something comes up and you have someone talking about aliens and government conspiracies, you know they're "a few cents short of a dollar". It also allows me to decide who's an idiot and who isn't. You can't really tell just going by a civilized conversation, but when it comes time to figure something out, you can tell who's able to discern facts and think clearly and who lacks that ability.

Conservative commentator and CNN reporter Barbara Olson was on the flight that struck the Pentagon. Her husband was the Solicitor General at the time. I remember seeing her husband being interviewed and he was obviously stunned and heartbroken over the loss of his wife.

List of victims on that flight

Its kinda sad how you peopel joke so lightly about things that have really emotionally affected many people. Its like joking about a murder victim. Not cool.

What you people fail to grasp is the video was made by people wanting a conspiracy. They obviously are very good at doctoring images and video and would only show what fit their belief and probably edited some to help you believe. So the video should be taken with a grain of salt. You need more than one source.

They also ignore all the eyewitnesses that saw the plane, ignore people working in the surrounding area office buildings that heard the plane, and ignore the highway light poles that were taken out by the plane right before it hit.

i never claimed it was a missle. I am just not convinced it was a plane.

Ok, then what was it?

We do know a few things that we should consider before arriving at the answer:

1. Where is the airliner that was in stock before this accident?
2. Where did all the passengers go?
3. What else would have caused it?

A true analytical mind strives to find answers. It puts pieces of evidence together to find the truth. It doesn't automatically assume conspiracy when there is a lack of evidence.

Where is the airliner? Could be in the bottom of the ocean for all I know.

The government has access to explosives and devices I have not even seen or heard of so I am in no place to speculate what else could have caused this.

Passengers are dead either way but one guy claims to have held body parts in his hand. so if there were remains I am sure they were burried and I am sure this is documented.

Just because a plane disappeared does not automatically mean it wound up in the pentagon.

covering up a plane crash is likely a piece of cake.

Unfortunately, many people are either not intelligent enough to figure that out or simply a bit crazy.

If I were a conspiracy theorist and you told me that you went to the store last night, I could just keep denying that it happened and turn away any evidence. If you showed me the things you bought, I could claim that you bought them elsewhere. If you showed me the reciept, I could claim that you got someone to doctor one up. If you showed me videotape from the store's security camera, I could claim that you edited that tape after the fact.

There's nothing you can do to convince these people, since the lack of continuity only exists in their head.

And making up loony conspiracy theories is 10x easier. And as a side benefit, since the people who adhere to these theories aren't the most coherent of the bunch, they're extremely easy to fool and convince.

It scares me to think some people are so stupid and we let them freely speak, drive, and possibly work in this country.

Yep, I remember when the planes first hit the WTC people were saying they were small private jets. It was only later that people started saying it was big jumbo jets. People's perceptions are crazy.

i guess they played a few video games, and watched a few bruce willis movies....now theyr certified in military weapons and aviation

and no offence bit find some americans perceptions to just be rediculous...like theyre on a TV show being filmed so they have to cook something up to make it good and put on a little drama

I remember going to an airshow a few weeks ago and they had a jet powered truck dragster race an acrobatic airplane. They raced, then the dragster deployed its parachute to slow down.

Some woman in front of me said, "Oh my god, that plane just dropped that out of it!". I stared at her trying to figure out what dimension she lives in. Nowhere could you even begin to think something like that. Never mind the fact that the truck was bigger than the plane. I just wondered if this dumb woman sees the same things I do, or if it goes right over her head like trying to make your hamster watch TV.

Some people are dumber than sh!t.

im not making up anything. i see there was clearly an explosion of some sort at the pentagon. I am not cinvinced either way on what caused it.

That right there tells me that you lack discernment ability. Any normal person would look at the facts and see the obvious. But some people can't see it. Their mind lacks resolution and problem-solving ability. It's what many people call "common sense". Some people don't have common sense.

hmmm thats funny. Since my job revolves around assembling facts and problem solving.

The facts in this case are flimsy. Plane wrecks usually leave more mess so the obvious conclusion would be it wasnt a plane. Common sense also tells me that decisive videos of the plane as it approached would have been released at the very least to provide a stronger case for the airplane theory. These videos never surfaced. Common sense tells me there are more questions than answers which is why common sense tells me not to believe one side or the other until im presented with something irrefutable.

Simulation of Pentagon Plane Crash

Produced by structural engineers and CS majors. Forgive me if I take their word and expertise over an ATOT poster.

Phase I
Phase II

Now watch that video and see if you can understand why there isn't much giant plane wreckage to be found.

gigapet, you have lost any credibility here....instead of looking at stuff on wacko conspiricy websites, why don't you read about eyewitnesses who saw the plane?

"it sounded like a missile" - how many civilians even know what a missile sounds like? How many have heard a low flying jet the size of that one flying at 500mph and less than 1000ft off of the ground?

When the first WTC building was hit, ALL of the major networks had camera's on it, so yes, there is footage from every possible angle on the 2nd impact and the resulting fires - no one was aware that the Pentagon was a target, so that is why there is no network footage of the impact - is that really hard to understand?

Yes, there are apparently other shots of what happened, from a gas station, a hotel, and perhaps one other source, but we also have a poor-quality shot of the impact from a parking lot camera...while I'd like to see the 'secured' footage as well, that doesn't make me think something other than a plane crashed there!

Wake up!
