And more than half of those are suicide by gun. So meh. The chances of any individual dying by suicide is completely irrelevant to the conversation on gun control. I have a 0% chance of dying by suicide.

Agreed, so that effectively cuts the rate in half, meaning we should ban cars LONG before we ban guns...if safety is the reason for banning things. We know it is actually all about control of the populace, though, and has nothing to do with safety.
