I can't get too upset about this one if they were there but showed up late.

Not something to rage over, but it shows her disconnect from reality. She insists it's still a historically accurate representation. Uh no. Those four people were not there when the picture was taken, and the picture makes it look like they were. That is not accurate.

She's pretty much the worst scum of the earth.

OUTRAGE! I need to go tell my boss that our company Holiday card was a sham because I had to photoshop in a few employee photos who were not able to make it to the company photoshoot because they were on business trips. I'm going to start a petition to impeach this vile woman. Such photographic mockery should not be tolerated.

What exactly is the big deal here?
She wanted a photo of all the female members of house to put up on flicker.

Direct quote from link provided.

"It was an accurate historical record of who the Democratic women of Congress are," Pelosi told a news conference. "It also is an accurate record that it as freezing cold and our members had been waiting a long time for everyone to arrive and ... had to get back into the building to greet constituents, family members, to get ready to go to the floor. It wasn't like they had the rest of the day to stand there."

There is no disconnect from reality. No weird statements nothing out of the ordinary.
House minority leader wants a shot of all the women on the steps of the capital.
House minority leader gets a shot of all the women on the steps of the capital.

Can't get everyone together for one shot?
House minority leader didn't ask you for a song and dance about logistics.
House minority leader asked for a shot of all the women on the steps of the capital.

The fact that this is actually making waves ANYWHERE on the intertubez means that
a. People are idiots
b. As required by rule 34: It it exists on the internet there will be porn of it.

So thanks to all the thoughtless rightwing loon bags, there will eventually be porn of this photo.
Thanks alot assholes

Ah, a conservative upset over the creation of an altered reality. Mustn't have that.

At least the OP does make good points in think regularly in other threads, at least in my opinion.

Moonbeam, speaking of altered reality why does your infer that I am a conservative because of criticisms of Pelosi?

The responses above do not surprise me, though they do disappoint. Adding people to a picture, calling it historically valid, and seeing support of it by party faithful is sad.

It is historically accurate to claim that these are the female congress members at this time in history, which is the only claim of historical accuracy being made here.

Hay is hardly a party faithful.

Try to imagine what historically valid might mean to a liberal rational thinker, three redundancies in a row.

Calm down.

Dank69, text is the proper way to represent that, not doctoring an image.

Re party faithful I was not intending that to hayabusa but comments from some others.

Yes that's true but I find that when dealing with people who create threads such as this that it's more efficient to make a point by getting down to their level.

You appear to be a unique case.

I was wrong, the OP isn't a unique case at all, he's the same type of piece of shit as incorruptible.

This. I mean those guys that raped a girl to death in India are pretty bad, but they're not 'Photoshopped some late arrivals into a group photo' bad.

Oddly enough, the evil monster known as Pelosi isn't claiming that it wasn't photoshopped...

http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/...photo-women-congress-174037761--election.html

As part of the festivities marking the first day of the 113th Congress, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi organized a photo op on Thursday with female Democratic lawmakers on the Capitol steps to mark the historic number of women in the new Congress.

Temperatures that morning were below freezing, and after several minutes of waiting atop the frigid marble for latecomers, Pelosi had the official picture taken without four members. But when her office released the photo, all the women in the party appeared. A Pelosi spokesman attached a message to the picture, noting it had been altered to add lawmakers who arrived late.

When asked about it Friday, Pelosi defended the practice.

"It was an accurate historical record of who the Democratic women of Congress are," she said during her weekly Capitol Hill press briefing. "It also is an accurate record that it was freezing cold and our members had been waiting a long time for everyone to arrive and had to get back into the building to greet constituents, family members to get ready to go to the floor," she said. "It wasn't like we had the rest of the day to stand there. ... Not only were they women, but they reflected the beautiful diversity of our country. Women who from every community, as well as every religious faith, so we were pretty excited about it."

She added: "Thank you for asking about it."

Andrew Beaujon of the Poynter Institute was the first to report that the four lawmakers on the top row were not in the original picture.

Pelosi’s office releases doctored photo of female lawmakers

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office sent a photo of female lawmakers to press Thursday to commemorate a huge moment for the Democratic Party: The first time its House of Representatives caucus didn’t have a majority of white men.

Unfortunately, four members were late to the photo shoot.

“Please note this version has the four Members who were late photo-shopped in,” Pelosi spokesperson Drew Hammill wrote in an email to news outlets Thursday evening. In a subsequent email to Poynter, Hammill confirmed that the four latecomers were placed in the rear of the group.

OMFG! Not only are they using photoshop...they're being honest about it!

Pointing out outrages that may actually matter to something or someone, yes, this is not one of those.
