Upon reading the terms are vague but it appears to be set up in steps.
Taliban will sit down for a private meeting with Afghan Government. They will attempt to recognize each other.
Troops draw down as relations become normalized. As far as a deal goes that sounds reasonable but I know devil is in the details.
 
Like the others here I'm cautiously optimistic. Well, I guess more hopeful than optimistic. Greater stability in the ME with less US participation and not as consequence Russia and China getting stronger from seizing a power vacuum would be great.

- Taliban will be allowed to enter the USA with no restrictions and total immunity... even when they commit terrorist acts: and the Democrats are responsible if anything happens.
- Taliban will be given billions of dollars in aid, and if they use that money for terrorism, the Democrats are at fault.
- The Democrats are supporting terrorism... they allowed this treaty to happen!
- Taliban will be given all the names & addresses of Christians in the Middle East, by Trump himself, but Democrats are of course at fault.

Look, the China 'deal' was a bust. North Korea was a bust. Turkey was a bust. Everything this idiot has touched has turned to shit.

And, this "announcement" is very suspect, especially since Trump took a shit on live television regarding the corona virus and caused the markets to tumble.

Yes. And once they are home close the gates behind them. Despite what the Democrats believe there are many horrible diseases and people that want us dead beyond our borders. I say we close the gates and vet the hell out of anyone wanting in. Open borders are for complete idiots with no real understanding of the world around them.

I no longer have a problem with that. I'm pretty much done with the festering shit hole that is the middle east. I'm done with US soldiers spending their lives for no reason at all, I'm done watching tax dollars flushed down that bottomless pit of ignorance.
