I'm at work trying to connect to a pcAnywhere host that our client has running. They are behind a regular LinkSys router and I had them forward the right ports so that they should be able to host. 5361 and 5362, tcp and udp, data and status ports respectively, i believe i did.
They are hosting with pcAny 10.5 and i'm trying to connect with 8.0 at the moment. The symantec website 8 and 10.5 should theoretically communicate fine. After forwarding these ports, I don't understand why i can't connect to the host. The PC i'm trying to connect with, another girl said she used to to connect to a host with it last year so i believe that the host is the problem here. The symantec site is Worthless for technical support to say the least. I'm not paying 30$ for a call
Would I have to open any ports here to connect? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
