PC version of Battlefield 3 to be best

COD engine is VERY VERY old. I believe they have been upgrading original COD engine since day one.

But I do agree, BF games (same for MOH) just has a weird feel to it (prefer COD as well)

I have a huge amount of time wasted in Doom 3 deathmatch as well. I don't know what it is, but I kind of like the levels/weapons/atmosphere. Hopefully Doom 4 can introduce CTF and other stuff to bring us back a proper deathmatch game. Quake 4 was shit.
 
I miss the huge maps and 64-player matches. I hate the "spawn, run and gun for 5 seconds, die, spawn again, repeat" spammy, mindless gameplay new FPS are moving towards.

Hope BF3 is more like traditional BF games.

It is basically the same thing. When it makes them billions of dollars why would they change it? It makes sense for them to keep it basically the same. Great if you love it but I'm personally sick of it. I pre-ordered Modern Wardare 1 and loved it but now it's going to be the same game 4x just with different setting.

There's a BIG difference from a game that has ZERO screen shots, ZERO game footage, ZERO game info to a game that's coming out in less than a week that we've known TONS about for months.

Yea, I don't know what it is either, But I seem to play several hours everyday I have time to.

Quake 4 was "OK". But I just seemed to like Doom 3 better.

I think I believe it, because it is not Bad Company 2, but obviously shares it's lineage.
 
The nice thing about BF2 was that it served as a sort of in between relative to the arcadey CoD series and super realistic games like ArmA. If they can deliver something similar with BF3 that is stable and supports dedicated 64 player servers, it will certainly be a release pickup for me.

I can get into a MW2 game and actually kill people and have fun. BF games are just a lesson in frustration. Shitty hitboxes, shitty weapons that have no accuracy, huge maps that take forever to get to the action, assholes that TK for vehicles, assholes that don't give you a ride, 90% of the people just sniping, players look like ants unless they're 2 feet in front of you if you can see them at all because they blend into the environment, etc, etc, etc.

I ran this through babblefish and this is what came out:

"yep, the CoD games are 100x better than any BF game will ever be. I can play MW2 without learning anything and still somehow get kills. BF games are difficult and require me to learn things that I refuse to figure out. Normal hitboxes that require me to aim, weapons that have real accuracy so I can't just run around spraying everywhere, maps that are larger than a CS sniper wars map, players that don't let me get into vehicles anymore because all I do is crash them into trees, i get run over standing in front of full apcs, snipers are actually sniping from actual cover and are actually difficult to see instead of running around shooting from the middle of their screen, camouflage actually works, etc, etc.

I'm not saying the CoD games are perfect, but I'm saying I'm really, really terrible at Battlefield games and I need something more arcadey, something where I can basically fire in any direction with 0 thought and hopefully get at least 1 kill and a meaningless perk."
