i want to know does the ocz powerstream 600 or 520 fit perfectly with the case.

is there any problem like the top fan is blocking the cable stuff like that?

I'll tell you if a modstream fits on friday, if anyone would like to know 🙂
I don't even plan on using the blowhole but ill let you guys know

i got a panaflo L1A on top blow hole with powerstream 520, fits fine, no problems. if the powerstream fits i am pretty sure the modstream will.

I've been looking at the PC-7Plus for weeks. Let me know how you like it. I'm particularly interested in the air flow and noise.

For the record, I personally dislike the layout of Lian Li interiors. They are not easy to work in because they are cramped, and they make cable management a pain in the ass.

I also dislike the flimsy aluminum they use. Compared to Coolermaster aluminum cases, they are not near as sturdy.

I had a PC61 that I could not fit any PCI cards into.. the motherboard tray's backplane was set at an obtuse angle and would ever-so-slightly pull them out of the slot. I ended up selling it because I had an Audigy sound card that I wasn't able to use because I couldn't keep it seated.

Also, the side panels rattled and made the case even nosier than it was in the first place, given that they choose to use 4 8cm fans for cooling.

I bought the PC-7 A Plus case w/ 120mm front and back w/ 80 mm blowhole...I've had this case for about a month now, it's quite the upgrade over my previous case (Antec Lanboy)- that case had pretty severe airflow and cooling problems, in my opinion. My experience with this case has been pretty good- the 120 mm fans included w/ the case don't seem powerful enough for me- I thought my case/CPU temps drop significantly, they've only dropped like 3-5 degress Celsius in the new case. (28/45 @ idle compared to 28/49-50 in the LanBoy) Not bad, I was just expecting more. All in all I really love the looks and quality of this case. BTW, I have a 2500+ Barton OC'ed to 2.2 gHz, w/ the SLK 800 heatsink and a Coolermaster LED 80 mm fan blowing down onto the heatsink.

I have an airflow question too- is it enough to have the 120mm intake w/ the 120 exhaust, PSU exhaust and 80 mm blowhole exhaust? It would seem like you need another intake fan to keep the pressure in the case normal.

I'm thinking about replacing the 120 mm's w/ higher performance and/or LED fans- anyone have suggestions for fans w/ good airflow and noise level? I've heard good things about the Panaflo's, but it looks like there are 3 different fans available within that product line. I'm also looking @ the Thermaltake Thunderblade, Thermaltake Smart Case Fan, and the Vantec Stealth. Any advice would help.

My experience with ThermalTake fans is not good...I wouldnt put one on a wheel barrell...I have personal experience with the Vantec Stealths and find these adjustable 120m/m Enermax fans to be a much better fan and is extremely versitile...Since they are adjustable it is very easy to "balance" the fans dba to the other fans in your box.

Not the build quality of Papst, Sayon Denki, Yates and some others but great for case fan applications...I have used bunchs of them without failure.

Also since they are adjustable you can regulate to a certain degree positive or negative air pressure without a fan controller.

Way better choice.

In my humble opinion of course.

The coolermaster "silent" series are decent, especially if you want the LED or UV reactant versions, since most that offer this aren't very smooth fans. If that doesn't bother you, pick up a medium speed yate loon... they ramp nicely

I'm 99% sure I'm going to buy the Lian Li PC-7 APlus. I'm going to enlarge the blowhole to accomodate a 120 mm fan. I'm planning on mounting an 120 mm Antec LED Fans in the blowhole: http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=77042.

Antec claims 79CFM with 29.8DBA average noise. If I like the ANTEC fan in the blowhole, I'll probably replace the stock Lian Li case fans with two more Antecs.

I'm going to use one of the Enermax fan controllers to help with the fan noise issue or alternatively, I could control all three automatically with my new Seasonic S12-600w PSU.

does anyone know the ratings on the stock 120mm fans that the pc-7 plus case comes with? (dB and cfm)

edit: i found it, they are adda fans rated at 16dba and 38.9cfm

Well I have this case (Lian Li PC-7B Plus) and I must say its the quietest case I have ever owned.

I replaced the two stock Adda 120mm fans with yate loon models. I have a Nexus92mm quiet fan on my Xp-90. The air flow is excellent, and like I said quiet.

As someone else mentioned previously I think removeable mobo trays are somewhat overrated. The case has plenty of room, and I am very happy with it.

Man, I should have waited and looked for a PC-7B Plus. I have the PC-7B and it has the smaller 80mm fan on the bac, but it has the nice 120mm fan in front. I guess the PSU helps balance the 120mm intake.

just got the case in... pretty happy with it although the removable power supply bay leaves a gap and good luck trying to fit an 80mm fan in the blowhole if your runnin a powerstream ps...

but pretty nice, all the amenities youd expect from a lian li case 🙂

i am running a powerstream and i fit the 80mm panaflo L1A in there just fine, even a tiny bit of room to spare.

Well it's at least nice to know I'm not alone in my pain (deciding what to buy these days is a MAJOR PAIN!).

I came very, very close to ordering a PC-60 Plus until I read this thread and the review on this site. Now I'm considering the PC-7 plus.

Earlier in the thread someone asked (in the context of comparing THESE TWO cases) about the loss of the chrome duct and rectangular blower that the 60 plus has. I have the same question: Essentially, are the 2x120 fans of the 7 Plus BETTER than the 1x120, 2x80 fans of the 60 Plus when you factor in loss of that fancy ductwork?

BTW, I'm a big fan of Lian-Li cases. My son will end up with my PC-60 which has been great. I love the look, the feel and that wonderful air filter! I still get dust inside but it's FAR LESS than cases without a filter.

Thanks All!

I just got a PC60B Plus from Newegg and so far I'm happy with it. I may have spent a little bit more for it but I had a good experience with the removable mobo tray. Just make sure you figure out which screws go with the spacers. Took me like 3 tries to find the right ones. I was a little concerned about the noise of this case from all the fans. I have 2 PSU fans, 80mm top blower, 80mm rear exhaust, 120mm front intake, 120mm side blower, 6800GT GPU fan, DFI NF4 Ultra mobo fan, and retail AMD64 HSF. This is a good 4 fans less than my previous system (which used mostly L1As) but for some reason, it has a lot more pleasant sound to it. It may not be quieter overall but none of the fans have the whine of some of the fans in my previous case. It may be a bad PSU fan or something, still haven't figured it out.

Anyway, I'm happy with the sound from this case and since I plan to overclock and eventually SLI, I'm very glad to have all the cooling features of the PC60 Plus. Definitely recommend it.

One concern is I could barely get the front Firewire port cables to reach the firewire header on the mobo. I was able to do it but I had to do some creative routing that will be a pain next time I go to pull out the mobo tray.
