i am looking at the PC-60 Plus and was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this case and its cooling. i have read some good reviews on it and it seems to be good minus that it might be slightly loud. does anyone have this case and what are your thoughts. was thinking of the super lanboy as well but i hate that it does not have a removable mobo tray and is cramped (according to reviews).

It's a very nice case. But if you can deal w/out having a removable mobo tray the PC-7B Plus(120mm intake and exhaust) is a better case imho.

according to lian-li website, the pc-7b plus only has a 120mm intake and a 80mm exhaust

fireontheway,

That's a modded case right ? Not bad.

Newegg has it for $85.50 but coolerguys has it for $110.95, I guess the diff is that they modded the rear fan from a 80mm to a 120mm.

I think a better choice would be if coolerguys modded the PC-60A plus w/ a 120mm rear fan. That case has more hd's bays.

Regards,
Jose

the modded PC-7B Plus looks good and i know that not having that 120mm fan on the back of the PC-60B Plus is a minus, but is the blower fan a big help and a better replacement for the rear 120mm fan. also how easy do you think it would be to mod the pc-60 plus with a rear 120mm fan (the pc-7 plus is very similar and that seems easy enough)

There are two different models of the 7B Plus; one with removable motherboard tray and 80mm fan and one w/o the tray but with 120mm rear fan. Removable motherboard trays are over rated in my opinion since they limit the rear fan size and reduce the case strength and rigidity. But hey, get what you want.

Nice case either way.

ok, well i am starting to change my mind on the removable mobo tray, but what about the features of the pc-60 plus, the cpu air duct and the 120mm blower fan. are those worth it over the 2 120mm fans front and back?

think i am gonna go with the pc-7 plus, less money, i dont think the cpu you duct will fit over my xp120 and fan anyway, and i like the 2 120mm fans, plus i have the ability to buy the blower separetly, the 7b has the slot for it.

And do not forget that the PC7's from Coolerguys has the 80m/m blow hole also.

They are out of stock but if you look around you can find them with the 2 120's and the 80m/m blow hole.

i decided on the coolermaster pc-7 plus, the silver one is in stock and a $1 cheaper. i figure if i want to add a blower i can buy one later, and the 2 120mm is something i am looking for. and i got a 80mm for the blow hole as well. i think i only wish i had the removable mobo tray from the pc-60 plus because i dont think the cpu vent would fit over my xp120 and i am not sure if that airflow would work. figure for the 100 and change for a lian-li with window and 3 fans, not that bad.

I agree with Nessim...Removable motherboard trays are way over rated...Generally speaking before I assemble a box I set it up outside the box to make sure it will POST before putting it in the case.

I personally look at build quality and theraml performance when choosing a case...That is where the PC7 Plus really shines.

You get Lian-Li build quality...Elegant (to me anyway) looks and excellent thermal performance that is hard to beat in that price range.

My first Lian-Li was a PC75USB and it cost me well over 200 bones and even though I loved the case it was hard for me to justify spending that much money on just the case.

For me the Lian-Li PC7 Plus is a bargain...2 120m/m fans...80m/m blow hole...Window...Aluminum construction for about 135 delivered to your door.

Nice...I mean really nice case.

Will Powerstream 420 fit into Lian Li 7plus with top blower fan in place?
