I have a bank account in paypal. It's set as primary but my bank closed it months ago due to inactivity. I also have one-time use credit card numbers throughout my paypal account. One such number expires 10/2009 and is setup as my secondary source, even though it actually has no money left in it.
So I made a purchase using my expired bank account as funding source and this tapped-out number as the secondary (oops). Payment went through instantly, but I know the bank account is dead, even though the idiotic customer service lady did not seem to understand that although paypal has this as active, the account no longer exists (she simply could not understand this, insisting it was active because paypal said it was even though I said my bank closed it). Also, she didn't understand the idea behind one-time use credit cards with a limit (which is tapped out).
So, if anybody here knows what will happen to my payment once my bank account, which doesn't exist, cannot fund and the credit card number, which is tapped out, cannot fund it, please let me know. I've contacted the ebay seller to let them know there may be a problem, but paypal customer service appears to know absolutely nothing.
