Just assume you are paying. And if she doesn't want to pay your covered, and if she does
then hey you save money. But from my experience most girls espeically when being taken
on a date with a guy would prefer them to pay.

I know many girls that can go to a bar with NO money and come home drunk.

i think most people in general would prefer not to pay for things...

I pay for everything unless she firmly tells me that she wants to pay for hers. In that case I really don't consider it a date, more of a friendly get together. I'm sure some one will get a kick out of this. On the last date I had, I paid for dinner before she could say otherwise. She then insisted on paying me back before we left the restaurant. Well after that we headed to a club downtown. As soon as we got to the door what did she do? She asked me if she could barrow some money because she didn't have any for the cover charge which was a whole $2. wtf? I was going to pay for her to get in regardless but I find it odd that she gives me money and then asks to barrow some not 5mins later. Oh well, I've yet to understand women. Maybe one day.....

Accepting her offer is low class enough, but asking her to pay is like asking her to never go out with you again.

If you are on a real date, you pay, unless she insists otherwise.

i'd rather treat her as an equal than be what you must consider to be "high class"

I usually assume the person who does the invite is the host (and therefore provides the food/entertainment/whatever). To make things easier you can just say "how about we grab a cup of coffee... it's my treat" or something to that effect. That makes it a tad less awkward.

These days my fiancee and I usually end up paying roughly 3:2 (me to her) for food and movies.

Johnnytightwallet;

You should pay, if she keeps insisting on paying you should suggest that when she asks you out on a date she can pay. This can be a win win situation.

Haha I'm not a tight wallet guys! I always insist on paying, and since I asked her out I would never let her pay. I was wondering if this was appropriate.

Regardless of what you think, you're paying her. Either pay now or later, it's still you who would be doing the paying. If you manage to bag her, well, then you still have to pay for the house, the car, the bills, so might as well get started. But all is not lost, just hint to her what you like, and you might get a surprise, most of the time, if the lady is in fact a lady, she'll feel bad after a while and do something nice for you. If the lady is a byeatch, your sixth sense should pick it up and it's time to put on some army boots and kick tha byeatch to the curb. Despite all that, you, first and foremost, always have to be a gentlement. It's good for your rep, and that's the only way to be a jerk without retribution (THINK!). Don't dwell on lost causes and move on, and remember, playas are always gentlement.

If you ask, then you pay; even if you don't ask, offer to pay anyway, unless you're broke. If the lady is a sugar momma, then she's already expected to pay for you.

When I was dating my wife I always paid despite the fact she made 50% more than me, I told her that if things didn't work out she owed me for 1/2 of all our dates.

That's the life of being a man.

I always pay if I am the one asking them out. Especially, if you are trying to be the one to impress her.

First dates we usally just pay for our own food or whatever.

If were acutally going out, usally pay for her and me, and next time we go out she pays for me and her... etc etc.

I always at least offer to pay.
Once we get "involved" it doesn't matter. Sometimes I pay, sometimes my gf pays.

I usually pay for a date, dunno old fashioned that way.

If the girl asks to pay I usually say its ok, i got it.

The only times I dont pay is if they are sneaky and pay first before I can get it :p
