I got paid $2.68 cents today.... apparantly my manager only bubbled in the minutes I worked instead of the HOURS and minutes I worked

I won't see 99% of my paycheck for two weeks... talk about a sick joke

how many of you would be put underwater by something like this? I'm glad I have savings to fall back on :(

I'd go directly to him/her/it and have him/her/it pay out of pocket. Some people live paycheck to paycheck, this can't happen. =/

in many states it is illegal to withhold pay due to a clerical error. they have to cut you a check immediately.

If you have an HR department, go there and demand that they pay you out of petty cash. If not, then nicely approach your manager about a similar request.

Walk in..tell him some lame story about your wife/gf/bf/SO has medical bills and get your money.

Seems odd the boss didn't offer to make up for it right away.

They must pay you immediately. Our payroll just came up short by 1 week, because of a clerical error, and they had to cut checks for every employee by the next day.

Yup. This happened to me once. I made them cut a check that day from our corporate office to fixe the mistake.

My boss tried to tell me that it would cost the company a ~$150 fee to immediately pay me, but I told him that hopefully his employees will pay more attention next time so it doesn't happen again.

you know you're gonna get tagged extra on taxes when they combine your two paychecks right? I forgot to fill out my time card here @ work once week and did it the following week so I had 2 paychecks in one. ended up losing over $100 because I got taxed at a higher percentage. I'll get it back during tax returns, but it still sucks

remember that thread on Slippery Rock?

My payroll department is that of one of the PA-SSHE schools. I work directly for SSHE though... I don't want to get into details since my position is very technical/political...

It's government... and our paycheck printing is outsourced to ADP... If I raise enough hell, my bosses will probably dig into their own pockets to front for me, but that just feels even more wrong, and clearly they arent obligated to do that

don't wait two weeks. get that paycheck now.

my boss is really cool about paychecks. we get paid monthly, but if i told her i needed cash anytime earlier, she'd cut me a check on the spot.

Our payday is every other thursday (today). By the tuesday (5th) after payday, the paperwork with your hours leading up to the previous friday (tomorrow). I will see the pay from the submission on the 5th on July 14th.

I won't see another penny until July 14th when my next paycheck comes out
