Maybe after seeing nobody else will pay him 10mil, he'll reconsider Detroit. We HAVE to sign some sort of offensive player...I would prefer Fedorov but if they don't get a Ray Whitney, Joe Nieuwendyk, Todd Marchant, SOMEONE... we are in deep sh!t.

I agree that it would be difficult to see Fedorov go, but I still think he is staying in Detroit.

All his agent cares about is $$$. The truth is that he thinks Fedorov is going to get more than $10 million a year from another team. Once he figures out that he won't, he will start telling Fedorov that Detroit is where he should be.

And the Avs can have Potvin.

I think that they would definitely be considered one of the favorites if they can land a big-time goalie, but I don't think Potvin is going to be that guy.

I keep hearing Detroit may send Joseph to Boston for Martin lapointe. I'd rather not have Lapointe(less) back, if it's all the same.

Their defense is good, but it was only marginally better than the Wings last year. And the Wings D just got drastically better with the addition of Hatcher.
