Ok, so Kaeding can't make it in the clutch. He hasn't missed one since 2 yrs ago in the playoffs. That's friggin amazing. Keep the team together, get a new coach, get rid of eric parker. Get a new WR.

um it was a 54 yard attempt. i would'nt throw him to the fire for that...throw rivers to the fire instead.

What do you mean? B/c his receivers dropped all of his spot-on passes? Looks like you weren't watching the game the rest of the country was watching.

NE doesn't deserve that, hopefully the colts D win play good for one more week.

How do you figure, last I checked the score they won the game? How are you determining that they deserved it or not?

B/c 98% of their playoff wins over the last 5 years have come off of lucky BS plays and calls by the refs (Atrue football fan would never dispute this; A blind NE fan, however....)

In this case, SD'z receivers dropped ~60% of River's passes. There's a chance the game could have been sealed by halftime.

Oh well...a couple of bonehead play/calls by SD at the end made the difference though. sigh....Tom Brady is STILL gay 😉

Let me make up some statistics also:

zinfamous is 100% full of crap 100% of the time.

The chargers are 100% worse than the patriots at the game of football

Shottenslimer is 1% the man Belichick is.

What you're not understanding is that the Pats played bad as well until the end. It was a sloppy game all around, and the Pats just came through in the clutch, as usual.

let me make your numbers more accurate:

50/50

0/0

correct

there, happy?

*golf clap

now, get on with doing whatever you do in life that makes you happy. 😉

I cannot believe SD lost. I thought they were head and shoulders above NE. But the veteran team will usually win against the inexperiened one.

this is the PLAYOFFS. throw the regular season out the window, it's all about experience.

i'm so freaking excited for next week's game though, Colts vs. Patriots rematch. I just want Peyton Manning to beat them once, i feel so bad for that guy.

Why would idiots want a new coach? He had nothing to do with the interception/fumble. Why do people always fall back on blaming the coach?

Argh i hate the Pats, its like Yankees fans.

There are 3 teams in the NFL i loathe.

1. The Cowboys
2. The Patriots
3. The Raiders

what? ppl hate the yankees because they have the highest payroll and basically buy championships - that is, the playing field isn't level if one team can afford the best players and another team can't. now, i don't necessarily agree with that, but it's TOTALLY different than winning superbowls in a sport that has a salary cap and is successful because of a good system of recruiting/coaching/etc.

having said that, the pats played like crap tonight. they totally abandoned the run game and brady was uncharacteristically bad (well... about as bad as that game against the broncos last year). he threw 3 picks, constantly underthrew/overthrew open receivers and in general didn't look like himself. granted, the chargers had the advantage of being able to defend against the pass virtually every down, but it doesn't excuse bad decisions.

however, as usual, new england was incredibly opportunistic and pulled through in the clutch. they did just enough to eek out a victory, which some may call luck, but when you win like that year after year, it has to be something more. they know how to fight, how to grind and how to tough it out to the end. and they have a system (coaches, scouts, etc) that's smart enough to give them the opportunity to win every time. san diego, on the other hand, despite (on paper) being a better team didn't have the experience/system/drive to capitalize on the dozens of opportunities they had to put the game away.

next week's colts vs. pats should be a sick game. lots of history between the teams and both QB's are coming off very rough starts. i can almost feel, however, that the game will come down to field goals and we'll get to see if the pats will regret not resigning vinateri....

God I'm spent. The Patriots weren't going to blow out the Chargers, so they kept it close, played SMART, and let the Chargers show their inexperience. Those last two drives for the Patriots was classic.

The hype for next week's game is going to be UNBELIEVABLE.

it wasn't even inexperience. ****** up receiving a punt?? Talking smack and giving pats a 1st down and 15 yards on their 4th down? Trying to intercept on a 4th down play when it's better to just smack it down? Chargers just ****** it up for themselves.

I meant more of the bandwagon effect, over the salary cap issue, which is different entirely.

I thought the play calling was awful. The one with Gates fumbling in the endzone should have not been overturned...there were others too. The biggest calls went against the patriots, imo. So yeah, please don't complain that SD was shortchanged with the calls.

Awesome game though...one of the best probably and will be talked about for a long time.

Brady is Mr. Playoff, Asante and the DB's have tightened up their game. As far as LT running amok; Wilfork-Warren-Seymour and Vrabel-Bruschi-Banta Cain!

'Nuff said...

So much for my prediction that LT would be contained...

On a side note, I had a bunch of Tom Brady Rookie Cards that I put up on ebay last week, they end in a couple days but the bidding on them in the last hour or so has been mad!
