Should give him the chair. Not worth the money it costs to keep him in prison the rest of his life.

If a relatively wealthy person commits a crime that gets him life in prison he should be forced to pay for it. Seize his assets to help defray the bill.

Really, his wife and mom were shocked that he was convicted? Did they really believe he is innocent? WTF.

Well, the Pats buying them up is going to cause a shortage in supply so... yeah.

What happened to the Rae Carruth jerseys? Holy shit, Rae Carruth gets out in 4 years.

Holy shit, Rae Carruth gets out in two years!

...better yet, torture these bastards (only if it's beyond doubt/100%......cause we know our prisons have innocent people in them as well)

Crime would drop in a heart beat if they did....

What the fuck is wrong with you?

Death penalty would be doing this scum a favor.

let him live with himself....I just wish they made prisoners work 12 hour days and useful......better yet, torture these bastards (only if it's beyond doubt/100%......cause we know our prisons have innocent people in them as well)

Crime would drop in a heart beat if they did....
Exactly how the gestapo did it..

He's going from a tight end to a wide receiver.

Judging from his inclination to do violence, it's more likely that he's going from being a tight end to looking for a tight end of his own to play hide the salami with.

Trial ends with Hernandez declared guilty on all counts. First degree murder. Sentencing in a few minutes. The murder conviction is supposed to carry a mandatory sentence of life without parole.

He still faces a murder trial for the other two deaths from 2012 when allegedly he shot Daniel Abreu and Safirdo Furtado outside a nightclub after one of them spilled a drink.

this guy is a psychopath through and through. holy shit!

Mom raised a monster, so I'm sure his entire life was filled with her saying "Oh my baby would never do that" any time he got in trouble growing up.

While FLA has the death penalty; Mass does not and would not allow FLA to get their hands on him until he finishes his sentences in State Prison (Sousa or Cedar Junction; I think due them being the Max Security facilities)

They might prosecute those cases just for the family's of those victims because he already has the highest penalty available in the state of Mass. He is also facing a bunch of civil lawsuits as well but one would think they will not be able to recover much $$ from him at this point as he has had zero income since being released by the Patriots and the type of lawyers he hired to defend him don't come cheap. Ironically he will serve his sentence at the MCI-Cedar Junction facility in Walpole, Mass., which is fewer than four miles from the ex-Patriots tight end's former workplace, Gillette Stadium. I have zero sympathy for this idiot, he had it all, a great-performing athlete making many million's of $$ in one of the best franchises in the league, playing alongside Gronk, Brady and coached by a legend. Now he will be a legendarily "tight end" but in a different role. D:

He is now going to be at MCI-Cedar Junction facility in Walpole for a few months (transition) and the go to Souza in Shirley (Back side of what used to be Ft Devens)

Oh, OK, didn't know that, doesn't really matter in the end, he will always be known as a murdering SOB and one of the biggest fail's. I cannot imagine how anyone in Hernandez's position not seeing themselves as having life by the balls, beautiful fiancee, one yr old baby, playing for an elite franchise that featured Brady, Gronk and Belichick in front of a sold-out stadium and your STILL dicking around with smoking pot, going to strip clubs and being involved with gangsters. Boggles-the-mind.

You do realize it's more expensive to put someone to death than to keep them in prison for life, right?

Court costs for death penalty cases are insane:
http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/costs-death-penalty

You do realize you should read the text right? All of your examples are saying something to the liking of this being from court costs. You do realize life in prison has a court cost as well, right? Except you also have to add the actual costs for the life in prison afterwards.. Deeeeeeeeerp.

There hasn't been an actual legitimate study on the court costs of life in prison vs death penalty. Quoting 1 article that studied court cases in ONE STATE out of 50 states with MANY different laws, regulations, and courts is FAR from a legitimate study. You can't study 1 liberal state and say all 50 are the same way. But lets say your bullshit one-sided argument is true. Ok. Fine. Death penalty COURT costs are < $1m more than court costs seeking life in prison.

Here you have a young male going to prison at a VERY ripe age. So how much does life in prison cost?

http://www.mountain-news.com/news/crime_log/article_4f1e45f8-5630-11e0-93da-001cc4c002e0.html

According to the article, it costs approximately $47,102 per year for prison. Again, we have someone young here, so saying he will last AT LEAST 30 years is pretty certain, but even 50 years seems very probably for someone in their 30's. Plus, they get free healthcare....

$47,102 x 30 years = $1,413,060
Not enough for you?
$47,102 x 50 years = $2,355,100

Need I go on? Death penalty is by far a cheaper option.

His lawyer will appeal of course but he's still gonna face charges for the guys that got shot after the strip-bar incident, supposedly Lloyd was yapping about it and it got back to H so he decided he must die, brilliant plan to have your own security system record you walking past with a gun in plain sight LOL.

It's a good thing it doesn't cost a penny to house a death row inmate for 20-30 years while they await execution.....
